realm 2?

What is all this talk about realm 2?
Do we really need another?
Most of the accounts on this one are either inactive or multi's.
Can we have one account in realm 1 and another in realm 2?
Cause we couldn't trade with ourselves, ya know.
Or will they both use the same market?
Please explain,
because if you are doing it by how many users are in realm 1 then, as I have said, most are inactive players, with people occasionally leaving there will be nobody left in this one.

I think some people started playing it and might use this forum.

Its a charcteristic of humankind, that we always want more.

...or locked...

But i think there are enough people still playing.

Yes.

Actually, this one does concern me a bit. Since new users are being automatically pointed to Realm 2, this is discouraging new signups for Realm 1. So, the only thing that will happen is that users periodically stop playing in Realm 1, and are not replaced by new users. We won't get to zero in Realm 1 any time soon, but the level of activity between companies can definitely slow down.

Plus, the new medival game is sucking players away as well. I had just started a new game in the German version that just opened up, but now that there is the medieval version, I'm not playing Germany any longer. I don't have the energy to build 2 or 3 companies at the same time.

Well said tigger. Speaking for myself, as you may know I don't play as much anymore. I was already reduced in Realm 1 and this will cut it down even more. I started in Realm 2 but I don't see much new. However Regnum is interesting, at least for a few weeks more, as it all shakes out. And that means in Kapilands I've dropped from about 20% participation to about 10%.

The game won't die, surely. But I do worry about the environment becoming static. The big players are the big players. The industries you're in are the industries you're in. And unless your suppliers leave, not much reason to change them up. Granted there was risk of that anyway, but new blood always had the potential to shake it around.

That said, I suspect some people that immediately jumped on Realm 2 will realize it's not as easy as they thought, they're not the leader there either, and they are just rebuilding businesses that already exist in 1. So it's possible some will change back.

And of course many people do play multiple environments, for enduring periods of time.
