Producing vs. selling cost

Post by Guest » 17.08.2007, 20:27

My buisness is producing cattle, but it seems to cost me more to produce the cattle than i can get when i sell it. Am i mistaking, or is there something im doing wrong.
I realy need to figure this out cause i cant realy get on with building my empire, if i dont make a profit from produced goods.

thanks for your help.

i started out with cattle as well. it was a horrible mistake. cattle has sold for less than production value for quite some time if i have read the posts on the subject correctly. if that really is the business you want to be in then build a butcher shop and buy cattle to make into beef.

read the FAQ. you will find many good guides there.

Well, nice to know that im taking my buisness in an unfortunate direction. Do you have any ideas on how to start a buisness with a brighter furture?

im thinking about starting off with wood. I have read a bunch of posts with people in the same situation as me, and it seems i'll be well on my way if i get a decent wood production going.
But i still dont get what difference the qual of the wood makes.

Cant wait till i dont have to ask all theese newbe questions, but i guess thats life when you start playing a new game.

Yes wood is awesome. i almost wish i would have started with wood (after my aborted cattle business that is) instead of steel, but in the long run i think working towards steel (via coal) helped me learn alot more about the game than i would have otherwise. Now that i'm slowly breaking into the wardrobe business i'm glad of the experience i gained from working my way up the production chain.

i think wardrobe is not good.. unless you have your own furniture store or high Q wardrobe.

try leather jacket.. you still can make profit from it even you don't have your own textile store ^^

Wardrobes were much better until today. The few big companies that buy them dropped their prices. Some are offering just a tad more than the value. i guess that means i'm just going to rearrange my build order again..........for the thousandth time hehe.

Yeah im going for wood now, for sure, cause i just got a very unpleasent surprice!

A friend of mine who also play the game and happen to know the account-into to my mailbox, thought i would help me out and sell me some steel at a very very low price, and the have my company sell them for a huge profit. I guess at first it seemed like a good idea, but when i tryd to log in a few mins ago, i got a message that said my account had been deleted!..

So now im starting all over again.. hip hip hurray for my friends stupidity!

I didn't actualy let him do it, he log in to my mailbox, got my login to kapilands, and then he [censored] it up for me.
But actualy all i lost were a few days, and it reset my account so i dont have to think about the few bad builds i had done.
