Contracts how and when?

I've been playing since Friday and I've not had a contract yet. Primarily because I don't get it.
I understand why you'd want to send a contract - to avoid the 10% market fee, but who do you send contracts to?
Do you send contracts to companies on spec, or does it need to be arranged before hand - and if so, how?
Do you need to be a big producer to sell via contract? (my factory makes 22 steel an hour!)

Any size company can send contracts.

The only thing you need to send a contract is the company name you wish to send one to.

Go to your Warehouse, at the bottom right are two boxes. Above the two boxes are the words, "Send as contract to a company.". The first box is for the unit price while the second is for the company name. Then, fill out the Ware box (how many you wish to sell of a product) with the amount you wish to sell. Press the "send" botton and you will get a message asking you to conferm that you wish to send a contract. Conferm the contract and it will be sent.

Yeah - I know how to send one. But who should I send to?
Just random companies?

Read the messages that are displayed when you click the 'office' link, or read the 'Product Purchase' section of the forum. They list what people are buying and usually how much they'll pay.
