Changed a bit to improve the approximation. It should hold up for higher values now too.

For the life of me, I can't imagine why this is helpful.
I just wanted to show that X cannot be solved for using simple math.
No indeed it cannot. Fortunately enough years of dealing with Taylor series and such has made me quite comfortable with the phrase "close enough."

Lol, nice.

I never could stand to make estimations! I always felt like I was giving up prematurely.

Thanks

So it can't be resolved as an EXACT formula

I don't get a thing of what you'r all saying ( cuz i have school in freakin belgium in dutch* )

It realy CANT be resolved or is it like freaking difficult ?

Still thanks

*= note its dUtch and not dEUtch , you could say Flamish but that's not really the same , but hey , i'm happy to stay in shock ^^

Just totease a bit knolls , your formula is good for if you have 20m

Then you would be a dope for wanting a formula in the first place. :P

Most modern math problems can't be resolved. Life is just too complicated! 8)

This particular one probably can be resolved, but requires some absolutely rediculous math. The result wouldn't look like anything remotely useful to you as well. (numbers excel can't interpret)

Out of curiosity, what are you making with these equations? It sounds interesting, if anything.
