sell via markets? or sell via contracts?
which is easier to earn money? contracts or market? market you get a 10% surcharge...
, i dont like that, but thats beside the point. So, which is faster to earn more money?

You have asked two questions.
Q1. Which is easier? markets or contracts...
Markets are easier but you probably wont make as much.
Q2. Which is faster? markets or contracts...
Contracts depend on your client accepting when they come online or need the product, but you might at least save that 10% charge.
In my personal experience you should use both. Sell things on the market to enable you to find the people who need your product, then offer those people contracts. You can haggle the price but smart buyers accept smart prices. If there are cheaper products on the market you could loose the client.
The other way to make money is to sell them in your retail stores. I try to sell products in all three ways.
This way you can be a little more flexible and choose the fastest way to make the most profit.
Speed of sale is all about the demand and price. You can sell anything really fast if it is cheap enough. If the price of anything is too high it will never sell.

well im trying out selling power in 500 lots, cause i dont want to clog up the market with my power, i mean, as soon as your ad falls off the first page (most of the time), its never seen again. And then thats production lost...
and i'll be asking a 3rd question?
Which returns you the most profit? i sell power at 0.14 mostly, and i do it in 500 lots, or more.

someone should make a tutorial with BIG pictures showing how to use the market, i cant believe so many ppl dont realize that you can order the items by price/quality, and that you can see pages of every item in the bloody market.victory91 wrote:well im trying out selling power in 500 lots, cause i dont want to clog up the market with my power, i mean, as soon as your ad falls off the first page (most of the time), its never seen again. You heard it folks, Drummore is going to write a primer!
Send him PMs and IGMs every day asking if it's ready yet.

Oh my God stop doing that please! There's no benefit to listing partial lots, people can always buy just part of your offer if they don't want it all. On the other hand, if I want 2 million of something, I will skip the small lots and find a big one where I can buy it all at once. You're just making more work for yourself, more clutter for yourself and everyone, and encouraging big customers to skip you.Which returns you the most profit? i sell power at 0.14 mostly, and i do it in 500 lots, or more.
i understand thats it is perhaps annoying and troublesome, BUT, if no big business buy the power for a long time then the ad in the market falls of the first page. Big business (i doubt) will go through pages of ads just to find MY ad, or any one particular ad.
Small lots also allow for change in the market, lets say the the market slumps suddenly. Your power is selling at 10 caps (extreme, but its to prove a point). now who in their right mind would buy power at 10 caps when they could buy power at 5 caps?

I like your way of thinking vic. I would probably buy 100,000 power if I needed 63,000 power. If there was 500 power @ 5caps and 100,000 @ 10 caps was the next lot of power, I wouldn't really be saving that much by buying the small 500@5caps bundle.
Maybe you should sell your power in lots of 50,000. That would probably work better than 500.
When people need power they want to type in the amount they want rather than buying 500 here and 500 there and then 1000 of that other one and,,, how much do I need again???
Oh what the hell I will just buy 100,000 @10 and get my *factories going today before I goto school/office/tennis match/girlfriends place.
Have you heard the saying: Time is money? People are willing to spend a little extra just to save a little bit of time.

I don't follow at all. How does having several smaller groups (instead of one big listing), all submitted at the same price (and time) fix that at all?victory91 wrote:i understand thats it is perhaps annoying and troublesome, BUT, if no big business buy the power for a long time then the ad in the market falls of the first page. Sort by price, buy the biggest order that can accomodate at the lowest price. If you're not on the front page, you're not the lowest price so it doesn't matter how many times you broke it up.
he and alot ppl dont know that they can access individual itens tabs in the market window, he and most ppl also dont know that in those individual item tabs they can sort by price/quallity.Knolls wrote:
