How come the prices of stones tripled in the last week?

Triple might be a slight exaggeration, but they've definitely shot up.

Most likely the reason is the contest. Mines are making minerals, to be turned into chemicals for the contest, instead of making stones. Thus the stone sellers have turned into stone buyers and pushed the price way up.

This too shall change.
