Here is enough space for all players to ask questions about the game.

The following assumes stores are in the same area, quality of goods is the same, and 0adverts throughout.

SOme general principles, thought id just clear things up if anyone was confused, casue some ppl seem confused to me when the post, that or im confused at their confusing post :P

1) Different sized stores will sell different amounts of product in the same time.

eg.

A 200qm gasstation will sell 10,000 gas in the SAME time a 150qm gasstation will sell 7500 gas.

A 900 qm gasstation will sell 45,000 gas in the SAME time a 300qm store will sell 15,000 gas.

2) If you partially fill a store, the goods will sell out quicker.

eg.

A 200qm store (can hold 10,000 gas) will sell 5,000 gas in HALF the time it takes for it to sell 10,000 gas. (approx anyway)

A 600 qm store (can hold 30,000 gas) will sell 10,000 gas in 1/3 of the time it takes to sell 30,000 asg. (approx)

Goin by this princiople if you have different sized stores, but want to sell the same amount of product, the selling times will be different.

3) Different sized stores sell the same amount of product in different times

eg

a 200qm gas station will sell 3,000 gas in HALF the time that a 100qm will sell 3000 gas.

A 50qm gas station will sell 2000 gas in TWICE the time that a 100qm store will sell 2000 gas.

4) To compare the effects of adverts you need to caluclate the time taken to sella set amount before adverts, then the time taken to sell that same amount after the ads are in place.

And it may not be exactly half, but it is close :)

I mean cumon drvic it is basically half the time i think ure just being picky :P

I suppose you can't fully compare both of the gas stations you have right now because they are not of the same sizes.

Expand the other one first (the 200m one with 0 adverts) to be equal with the 280m gas station (with 40k advertisements) then compare the time spent to sell the items. If there is no significant change by that time, post again stating that the advertisements don't seem to be having an effect.

It would be easier to check if there was only one variable that was changed instead of having 2 variables in your post. This way people would know that you did compare the same buildings, same building size, same amount of items, same qualities and same prices, with only the advertisement factor different.

as phoenix explained, the size is not a factor as long as you have both stores filled to maximum and i have them both full

so there is the only variable and that's the advertisements

Maybe whoever said it was half was slightly off.
