I want to run an oil company. How do I do that?

well,You should also build Mine&well Research center.Thats all.And If you dont want buying power from other players,build your own powerplant.

Look round this forum, im sure this question has been answered. Additionaly go ingame to the help section.

On the left hand side it gives the option to search all products, and tells u what is required to produce each. Also u can search buildings to see what produces what.

For Oil you need.

PowerPlant (in green) to produce Power
Well (in yellow) to take the power and produce Oil
Mine and Well RC (in red) to research oil.

Of course u could buy power from the market or via contracts, but id say its best to produce your own
