Advertising market

Post by Guest » 30.04.2007, 15:37

Hi all,

I have a question on advertisements. I have a TV station in Congo with 4 employees which can produce Q3 adverts. But I've realised that I cannot enter the market with these. The cost to me to produce is 291.60 plus the 1000 power each, which for me adds another 30, so thats 321.60.

To make any profit, I would have to put them on the market at 360, and that would only represent a small profit with the commission charge.

And yet I see loads of adverts for sale at 320 or less. How are they managing to produce adverts so cheaply? I just cant see how I can sell Q3 for 360 or more and its not worth bothering for less.

you have to count the price of the advertisement as a price per ad point, so your advertisements are q3, that means 4 AP (advertisement points) you want to sell them for 360, that means 360/4 = 90caps per AP, but there are people, who sell q10 or even higher, so they can go as low as 60 per AP, and you can never beat thet with q3

Correct. However, to answer the question directly: those people made the power themselves in a green zone and are undervaluing it.

Incidentally, so is the OP. Only I'm guessing his power plant is in Red.
