Ive been playing this game for a while now and was wondering where do i find the suggested price for a product im trying to sell or is there really one. Like here lately ive been making and selling apples at 5.00/each and people have been taking it. Usually i just go thru the apples sales list and make sure mines the cheapest which always is usually because some trying selling Q0 at 85.00 each. So any help on pricing would be great

hi buddy...

you are stealing from yourself selling apples so low... you should get allot more than that for your apples and also grow faster doing it... remember them apples needs to pay the upgrade of the fruit plantation... the more you can get the faster you can make more..

please contact me in game on whichever realm you are playing and I will buy your apples at much better rate from you...

also another good way to get an idea on pricing is to look under tha product purchase threads... once you read through the top few quality 0 product buyers you will have a good idea on the prices..:)

hope this helps.. :)

use the forum, the "product purchase" section, there you can find prices for some products.

Certain fruits sell for way more than others, apples is probably the fruit with the lowest sales price, i would concentrate on lemons, strawberries, oranges but ensure you stivk to Q0.

I was going to recommend a topic but I now see that topic belongs to the old forum and cannot be accessed ( http://www.forum.kapilands.com/viewtopic.php?t=4219 )
It is a pity because I used the formulae to set my own prices.

Basically, what you should do is set up an excel sheet where you add the basic production cost of each product you produce. You can find this price by viewing your buildings. For instance, Seeds 0,01¢.

Now, seeds require water so to make sure you get paid for your water too, take the price of water times how many units you need (1 litre per seed) and add that price to the cost of seeds.
( 0,27 * 1) + 0,01 = 0,28¢

After that you should add your desired profit. It can be anything - within reason, of course. I have mine set to 50%. I know from experience that almost no matter what you choose, you'll end up with a lower total price than what others have. Figure out what's best for you.

Also, this does not include income from quality or market fees. If you sell to the market make sure you add a minimum of 10% to your sales price to cover the market fee. With the above example you'd end up with 0,42¢ (excluding market fee) and 0,46¢ (including market fee). Setting a quality profit works the same way. I'll leave explaining quality profit to someone else as I'm pretty much just guessing and have been for the past two years.

To calculate your apples, just repeat the process.
( cost of seeds * amount of seeds ) + ( cost of water * amount of water ) + basic cost of apples = Total cost of apples.
( Total cost of apples + profit ) * 1,1 = your sales price including market fee.

Did that make sense or should I try again? :?

All the old forum posts are still here. They just take a little searching at the minute. :)

As NYK said, all of the old topics and data are still here.
The old URL's don't work as we moved from forum.kapilands.com to forum.upjers.com/klcom.
That's why your old 'forum.kapilands.com' links no longer work.
So it may take a bit of searching before you find the old topics, but they're still around! ;)
