Cotton Qualtiy

Hi can anyone help me i dont really understand how the quality works.

I am in cotton and have been producing Q0 for a month or so now. Just started to use Q8 seeds and done cotton research to Q5. this now means i produce Q2 cotton just wondering how it works really. also expanding into Textiles.

Any help from you guys would be great.

Each product has a number of elements which are needed to produce the product, for cotton it's;

1) Cotton tech (always included wether higher than Q0 or not, same with any product)
2) Seeds
3 )Water

So the quality you can produce is divided between these

So for your product it's

Cotton tech Q5+Seeds Q8+Water Q0= 13/3 = Q4 cotton produced (rounded down from 4.33r)

Can't see why your only producing Q2 are you using your cotton tech? sounds like you are just using the quality of the seeds to get your Q of cotton. have you set the quality level in your building? it's on the top row next to help, just set the quality to something way higher 20/30/127 doesn't matter what just make sure it's above your researched level.

Also it's the same calulation for any product except stones, power and water which are always Q0 anyway.

the quality is worked out by, the quality researched for the product, and the quality of the ingredients used, then it is divided by how many factors there are (so basically you find the average)

doesnt it tell you how the quality if worked out when you produce the products?
