Stones For a Beginner?

Post by Guest » 09.08.2010, 17:37

Are stones a good starting product for beginners like myself?? I see that they sell for a high amount and few people are selling but, that makes me think they have high productions costs. Are they good to start with AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: How much should I make at a time. Also is there a high demand for them?? Thank you! :D

There is a fairly high demand for stones. For new players it is a very good business. It costs a maximum of 3.47 to make stones as i recall, so the profit margin is high. Profit margin =/= profit though.

The main thing for a beginner (and everyone) is profit per m2 per day. For a beginner this is important because you can only build a certain number of m2 with your current cash. For a large company, it is important because you can build a maximum of 100 buildings with a max size of 32767m2 each.

Anyway, let me give you a little tip. Go to www.kapitools.de, and use some of the tools there. It will help you learn how much profit you can make per m2.

Also ROI is a big deal in the begining.

Here are some ranks of players based on Fixed Assets.
Beginners who grow quickly tend to focus on a cheap product to build, AKA, farm/platation products. Wood is a great example.

Wood is amazing because plantations are cheap as dirt, you can make 10 off the bat. You need no research, and you can sell wood for 74.5 in either realm.

Basically you want to be able to build the maximum m2 for your money in the first few weeks of play. This generally continues until your Fixed Assets is between 30 and 100 million

After that, you will hit an intermediate level where you cannot expand fast enough to keep up with your plantations. In other words, you have hit the point where ROI becomes nearly meaningless, because you are making money faster than you can expand. This happens because expansion takes time. These players are generally refered to as medium or intermediate players. Many of them focus on stones, or manufacturing something to be sold in stores, such as wardrobes, gas, TVs, or making semi products such as ecomps, glass, ext.

These buildings are more expensive to build, so you can expand a lot in this stage, but your are still limited by your money (money is the best limit to have, time sucks as a limit). This medium or intermediate stage continues until about 1 billion Fixed Assets.

After that, you get to the bigger companies. At this point, retail becomes much more profitable. Most companies are split between manufacturing and retailing, in a situation where they retail their own products.

Anyway, just run numbers on kapitools.de, use the tools there, and you will learn alot.

If you have any questions, feel free to IGM me.

Thanks,
APCE Production

Also, never upgrade your buildings until you have filled all the 60/100 spaces.

Depends on how lazy you are :)
I'm too lazy to set up 60 buildings, So I used to have 10, and upgrade them slowly.

Thats the major reason why people get premium in R1 (and increasingly R2) since the extra 40 places really cant make up the billions a month premium costs but it gives u the ability to set multiple builds at once via special builds.
No idea why you would have only 10 though, your gona be here for a while lol
Each to their own I guess =)

Stones are great, but poducing power, you'll have higher profit.

I calculated it once long time ago,
power--highest
water
wood
stones

But wood can get to higher level, and therefor higher profit :)

Stone accelerates faster than power after a week or so, if played well.

Depends on your ability as a player though, give any experienced player a new acc and they will immediately start to crack into whatever production line (including retailing) they prefer. Where as a 'newbie' would be floundering with terrible cash flow if they tried the same thing so they are better to keep it simple

where it says production per hour , times that number on the computer calculator by 24, then copy and paste the number into the production box then you will make stones for 1 day exactly.

i suggest start off with only 5 buildings and slowly expand them to maybe 500each.

then when you have more money make 10 power plants and 5 more mines and expand up slowly. power is good because it will power your stones at 0.03 each instead of buying off market for 0.25-0.27 each. then you can sell the extra power.

importantly, try to find a customer that is a quite big company. sell your stones and power on the market then send messages to any one that buys alot of them. get a fair price of maybe 24.5 each for stones and 0.24 for power - or even higher. this means you dont have to pay 10% tax.

when you have quite a bit of money try entering a contest and win a contest certificate and sell it on for over 500million in a contract. then you will have a lot of cash and spend it on bigger building - NEVER SPEND MORE THAN 100K PER M2 ON A BUILDING because your probably getting ripped off.

like APCE said, after a while you will want to move into producing products and selling it to the game.
