Well, If he's making Q48 final product then I suppose that not very many people would be able to supply him and if they could make that type of quality their prices would be through the roof.

He obviously buy the highest quality oil possiable for the engine (need's only one, so even at extremly high price, it's good :D)

I produce and retail cabriolets in R2, It has a nice profit... But I'm to lazy to set all the buildings, So I just expend the buildings untill I feel like setting them to produce and retail :)

Why not?

anyway, There's no reason to produce all the parts for the cabriolet/car by yourself!
Many can be bought off the market, this way you'll have greater profit.

Because you lose 5 beautiful years of production or retail.

Probable the same reason for me, cause sometimes suppliers just vanish in the air and then we are left at the limbo till we find another suppliers.

i try and produce all my own materials because it gives me a small sense of satisfaction !

@ SiberianTiger: That would be the only possible answer in my opinion... but aren't there "enough" suppliers for steel and even textiles? :)
Well, anyways - I can fully understand this. I got supplied with materials in the past but my suppliers stop playing - and I had to see how I could get my materials. Sometimes producing on your own can be good, but for such a complex product like cars/cabriolets... I don't know if this is the best idea and way. Well, okay, it may be the only way to have got a steady supply.
Yet I am still interested if this is the entire reason.

@ m0pdq: Yes, I see what you mean. But honestly: Working on cars is hard enough... you should make some profit out of them. And this would be easier if you outsourced some products, I guess. So please do not take it personal, but due to profit orientation you should sometimes refrain from the feeling of personal satisfaction, especially in this business (cars/cabriolets/motorbikes).

I don't really think it is possiable to produce it all by yourself (cabriolets)

Here's what you need:
every 2 minuss (--) indicate the sub products

1 Piece Car bodies
--300 kg Steel
--1000 kWh Power
1 Piece Engines
--100 kg Steel
--1 Piece E-Components
----0.2 kg Silicon
------1 kg Quartz
--------9 kWh Power
--------9 Liter Water
------5 kWh Power
----500 kWh Power
--1 hl Oil
----100 kWh Power
--3000 kWh Power
4 Piece Tires
--10 kg Rubber
----2 kg Seeds
----21 Liter Water
--3 kg Steel
--800 kWh Power
10 kg Glass
--0.5 kg Quartz
----9 kWh Power
----9 Liter Water
--1 kg Chemicals
----1 kg Minerals
------9 kWh Power
------9 Liter Water
----10 kWh Power
--100 kWh Power
120 kg Plastic
--0.5 hl Oil
----100 kWh Power
--1 kg Chemicals
----1 kg Minerals
------9 kWh Power
------9 Liter Water
----10 kWh Power
--150 kWh Power
5 Piece E-Components
--0.2 kg Silicon
----1 kg Quartz
------9 kWh Power
------9 Liter Water
----5 kWh Power
--500 kWh Power
15 kg Textiles
--3 kg Cotton
----1 kg Seeds
----10 Liter Water
--350 kWh Power
400 kg Steel
5000 kWh Power
10 kg Glass
120 kg Plastic
5 Piece E-Components

15 kg Textiles
400 kg Steel
5000 kWh Power

And it's not all of it!
You'll need ALOT of free time, and it will be very difficult for you to produce cars/cabriolets high quality anough to have a profit.
