I research diamond rings and it shows in research to be qty 2 rating.
I make a diamond ring and it has 0 quality.

What is with this?

For producing Diamonds of quality 2!
In the place where it is produced you have to increase it quality to 2!
Then only you will be able to produce it!
It is right beside area I think!

With a quality of 2 you will still produce diamond rings of quality 0. Assuming the other raw materials has q0 as well.

The quality is calculated by the sum of all raw materials and the quality of the final product devided to the number of raw material necessary + 1.

For diamond rings it looks like this:

resulting q is = (q of diamond rings + q of silver + q of diamond + q of power) / 4.

The minimum research must be 4 to produce q1-diamond rings (if the other raw materials are q0).
