What are the best products to retail?

Suppliers of Leather Jackets? I have recently started producing Leather Jackets on Realm 2, but the output is extremely low. But I assume you want to buy those on R1. I have seen your faxes.GoldenEye wrote:Why did nobody mention TVs in here?
TVs also are a great industry and bring huge profits by selling them in stores.
Unfortunately many players only stick to wardrobes (like me... okay, not only, I have got a second business, too) in this version so the variety is not that large.
But you can make a lot money by retailing TVs or leather jackets. The only problem you will get are the small amounts of products.
I also retail leather jackets (which are indeed really profitable!) and have some steady suppliers and some "now and then"-suppliers. Yet the amounts are not large enough to fill all the stores... if there would only be more suppliers (also for TVs)...

Yes, as I am only playing R1 I have got some interest in promoting leather jackets and TVs in there.
But I can guarantee you that they could also be profitable in R2. You need just a handful of crazy players that dare to leave the "good old ways" of the furniture industry. If there is a low supply (and even demand) it is easy to increase both of this by investing some Caps. Unfortunately this is not so easy if you are a small company as you need to think about each Caps twice then.
Leather jackets and TVs are certainly no easy businesses, especially when you want to produce them on your own. There is no NPC that supplies you with everything you need like in wardrobes, the products are much more complex than gas and wardrobes. You need to be more active in order to find adequate suppliers of the products you need for the final jackets/TVs (the market prices change too much and the amounts are often too small).
But - and I know that I repeat myself - you will have got a great cash "reflow"/ROI.

Wonder why steel and wood (and also seed) NPCs are there at all... OK players should be allowed to be able to always build/extend buildings; then why don't to ask before building erection "would you like to provide your own construction materials (such and such and that much), or should builders use their own materials for additional price of 12345?", and kill steel and wood NPC altogether. I am sure that would make kapieconomy much more robust, competitive, interesting, and diverse - and it is just 2-3 manhours worth for programmers to code, test, and deploy such a change.GoldenEye wrote:There is no NPC that supplies you with everything you need like in wardrobes.

NPC's wont be removed, they are there for a reason.
if you'll take out wood and steel NPC's small players will have more defficulties expending.
and it would take less then 10 minuts, to take them out

So that's exactly what I propose: give everyone an explicit option to pay [an additional] per-sqm fixed fee (slightly affected by player level) during construction instead of purchasing construction materials. Then steel/wood NPCs are not needed at all.
As it is now, allowing to use the NPC steel/wood for wardrobes, computers, cars, whatever - is much more abusing the NPC and making a dozen of markets unfair (either profitable much more than average, or much less), rather than helping small players.
