Contest Certificate Location

It appears that if someone gets a contest certificate, it shows up in the warehouse under Status-Store. But does it take up one of the warehouse storage spots or does it stay in its own area and not take up an inventory spot?

Status symbols do not effect the normal warehouse slots as they are in a different warehouse. (Status warehouse is separate from the Goods warehouse.)
