my warehouse price varies as in periods of shortage of materials needed for a motorbike i increased my price rapidly to get them and keep producing motorbikes.Opus wrote:You have me curious Adon, what is the unit price of your motorbikes? Not the price you charge customers, the unit price of the motorbike in the warehouse.AdontheGreek wrote:i produce motorbikes as a side business (i only have 5 factories) but i have learnt a lot from this.
quality of some parts is much more important than price.
for expample producing q10 e components on your own is not as profitable for you as buying q30 e ccomponents for 1000c!
a motorbike needs 3 e components (in it and in the engine).
assuming that you pay 100c to produce one, you pay 300 and earn 2+10=12 quality points which can be transformed in 1500 c (as one q in the final product is 1000c)
so 1500-300=1200c
on the other hand buying q30 e components for 1000 c you earn 36 quality points which can be translated in 4500 c.
so it is 4500-3000=1500c.
and you have an extra slot free.not to mention the slot (or slots) for the e components recearch.
in the calculations it is assumed that one quality point gives profit 1000/8
this is the way i calculate things and it seems right to me..
so before you decide to buy a product or produce it you have to think carefully and not choose the wway that seems cheaper...
i am sorry for the bad explanation of my strategy as my english is bad and it becomes worse as time goes by!
happy new year!
Thanks
so i have q26 motorbikes (my usual production quality) with the price of 28000c and q 28 31000c but the real cost is about 32000 and 35000 (for each qualty) if you consider that i produce the engines tires and rubber myself. so i earn enough to say that the industry gives me some profit.
about the lack of materials, tires and rubber are rare or too expeensive in good qualities so i decided that i have to produce them.
but there is no need to produce your own e components or textiles when you can easily find people that are specialised in producing them and can give a nice profit in both of you.
so you have to find the balance of what you buy and what you produce in order to build a nice automotive industry.
