for the quests, say:
For 2 points deliver 1.000 Shoes, Pullovers, Jeans and Textiles

does it have to be 1000 of shoes, pullovers, jeans and textiles of the same quality?
can it be 1000 shoes q0, pullovers q1, jeans, q8, textiles q10?

you can have it that way, but not 500 shoes q1 + 500 shoes q2 i.e. you must have only one quality of a same product

but now im really puzzled...
initially i thought the quests only accept goods in q0,
if it actually accepts goods in different qualities, why does higher quality goods sell at a price far lower than q0 goods?

At one time I had over 14 million of all the Kindergarden products in my warehouse. It makes it much easier to only buy Q0 as everyone can make it and it doesn't take up more space. (You can make Q0 products no matter what quality of sub products you buy. All you need to do is start production then cancel and restart again.)

yes, but it seems that the question is still not answered, the question being whether products of higher quality should be sold at a higher price?

In shops yes, and since that's what people base their pricing on then ofc high quality=higher price.

It's to cover the research costs and time dedicated etc.

If it is a mainly quest material though people won't buy your high Quality wares at all as it breaks their current Q0 pattern on which they send all their wares in on and would be a waste of money.
