I think you've been mixed up here ;)

Employees don't give any advertising points.

Advertisements (purchasable at the market) give a shop advertising points ;)

You need both, max employees and 40000 advertising points.

no.

sorry i didnt explain well.

e.g i sell 100 apples in my store.

it takes ten minute with two employees.

and it take eight minute with 3 employees.

how many ad points would you need to make a 20m2 grocery have the same sell time as a 30m2 (presuming max employees)

You don't get it, you need max employees and 40000 ad points. Sales for lower amounts are moot, because you shouldn't operate that way.

a full shop (meaning 40.000 ad points) cuts selling time in half.
I don't know how much 18750 points or 10960 points would reduce sellingtime or any other number besides 40.000 points.

With employees, I don't know that either since I always hire the max number of employees my building allows me to have.
(As most do I think,) so I doubt anyone has ever calculated how much sellingtime decreases when you cut down on employees.
Well...maybe Greed has...

What he means to ask is this:

Let's say I have a 20m2 shop that sells 100 of something in 2 hours.
Let's say I fill that store with 40k ad points, now I will sell this in 1 hour.

Now, lets take a 30m2 store, it sells 100 of something in around 1.5 hours.

The question is: How many ad points do I need to fill up in my 20m2 store, to sell 100 of something in 1.5 hours like the 30m2 shop.

If I filled it with 40,000 ad points, I'd get 1 hour, which is not required here.

For most of you, this won't make sense because you'll say: "Why don't you just fill it up with 40,000 ad points?" Well the reason could be that he doesn't have enough cash, or doesn't wish to spend all his cash on ads right now.

Now to answer his question, I don't think many people honestly know how the selling time decreases with ad points. They only know that 40k points reduces time by half. What happens in between could be linear, exponential, etc.

If you really wish to figure this out, buy 40k ad points, and keep adding them in, and record all your selling times, graph them, and figure it out.

That's the best way right now to find an answer.

ok
0k ad points 10 minutes.
20k ad points 7 and a half minutes.
40k 5 minutes

Wow, that is linear, I expected Upjers to do something exponential math stuff. Let me make a post on this.
