Hiring employees

Hi,

I am brand new and only done the tutorial and trying to make some apples! However, my production is very slow, so wanted to employ more staff, but cannot see how to do it. If I go to the plantation, I can see where to hire staff and expand the building, but in the fruit plantation these are just a row of black hyphens and nowhere I can 'edit' the employees.

Is it because I am producing apples at the moment? I can't think that should matter. However, I can't seem to hire employees so I need some help please!!

Yes... it is because you are producing apples.

Once they have finished producing take a look.

Best advice when you are new is not to expand but build another fruit plantation.

I had checked the help, but all it says is employ more people to speed up production. It just doesn't say how!!

The only way to increase staff is to expand your buildings. For evry 10m that you add you can employ 1 more employee.
However as a new player you shouldn't expand your production buildings until you have filled all your building slots.
You should have 2 employees in a 20m building. If you only have 1 wait until your production run is finished then hire 1 moreor if you have set a long production run it might be better to cancel the production get another employee then start production again.

After finishing the tutorial i advise you to reset your account and start again without tutorial and stay away from the Fruit plantation and other tutorial buildings you had to build for the tutorial.

Start with more valuable products instead and only use the tutorial as a way to find out about this game.
