should i invest in shares? which ones? does the the share prices change much? do you sell them at the same price as you buy? do they get included in your assets? please help i have no idea

Shares are no longer part of the gameplay, nor are loans. they just haven't removed it yet.
If you buy shares they are worth nothing, you will loose money if you buy them.

Useless part of the game now- I heard it used to work but no longer

So don't bother, buy a few if it makes you feel happy but don't expect it to make money
