Small players should build and expand raw materials and RC's. Medium sized players should rebalance towards factories and continue research. Large players should rebalance towards shops. Who can argue with that?

I could agrue with that. Why do small players need to be in Raw materials? They can start off with factories and make more money in the end as they don't have to spend mega cash to turn their company around from Raw materials to factories.

Retailing right from the start isn't a bad idea, too. If you can find the suppliers you will grow leaps and bounds faster than you would with raw materials or even factories.

I can, i skipped the rebalance part and i[m doing fine.

But like i wrote.
When you have the cash as a medium player, why waste cash on a small 2000m building?
When you don't have the cash, why waste cash on buying a building more expensive then own build??

Indeed with your Q60 research it would give you a profit if you buy a 2000m building at 120M, but can't you affort 4000m buildings when you have Q60 research to back you up?


Lets see, building a red store costs about 20M/1000m, so i coulb build a 6000m store with the cash you spend on buying a 2000m Factory.
Now why would i want to waste the cash on that factory if i could get a nice store with the same cash?

I could even build 3 2000m stores and start selling goods when i don't have the cash when those 3 are done expanding.
Or 6 1000m stores...

Buying it is good because you start producing right away but cost more. Building it costs less but it takes time.

It depends if you can find good deals. It depends if you want to wait or want to start producing. As a medium player depends on your profit.

I am a medium player and i dont like to wait i mostly buy buildings. And if i dont find the desired building i make it.

I suggest you buy if you can afford.

it's the same reason why there's a market for research:
some people don't want to take the time to expand a building or research a product, so they buy it.

but you just need to have the money to be able to do that.

I agree with both sides to be truthful, I always though buying builds was the 'soft' way and just to bite the bullet and wait. But I picked up some good sized builds as I have grown I found that it was great to have a mix of the 2. I brought 3 4k E stores then expanded 7 more to the same size over the course of 3-4 months with what little cash I had left over. It ment I had a great base to work from and I could afford to take other items offline for as long as I wanted and not lose large amounts of sale space. Buying at <500m is is [censored] but expending a good chunk of your expansion cash on getting on your feet fast is something I would recommend if you can get build 3-4x your normal size.
