Translate the game?
I think that Kapilands should be playable in more languages. There are many players in:
France
Poland
Spain
I am almost sure that many of them would want to translate some parts of the game to their national languages. Why do i write it? Because i am not good in English like many of players, that come from for example, Poland.
I tell only about the game. For me forum is good in one language. But in the game sometimes i can't understand some words and other things, and i don't want to do something because i don't know, what would be effect of this.

There already is a dutch server and a russian server I think. (Looks like Cyrillic letters to me)

Maybe if you get enough people to vote for a polish server the company will do so.

Unfortunately Kapilands haven't good system to even talk with polish players, so i know only 1 other player. More. Almost no of polish want to visit any forum, because this is such nationality. I can't estimate how many players from Poland play Kapilands, because none of them contact with themselves. If someone would conduct a survey (dictionary, if bad word - i'm sorry) what nationality is it IN GAME, i think most of players would vote. But, as i said, i can't estimate how many of them would vote POLISH.
Ah, and i don't want to create a polish server or something. I only suggest to create an option to translate english language version to polish version, then Polish players would play on 2 realms, but they'd be able to play in Polish language. It's easier for us, polish players. New servers in other languages make no sense, because most of players want to play on existing servers.

Maybe you can start a polish kapilands forum and through this your can get an idea of how many polish players there are at the game.
Denmark have a forum, unfortunately there isn't that many users. I hope that there are more danish players but I don't know have to get to them!
I hope and believe there is many players at this great game but I'm afraid that the most companyes are inactive.

I think most of companies sell their products by Sale option or they're just buying products on market and selling them on Sale :/ That's why we can't know about them.
I think that without any advertisement Polish forum make no sense, because if nobody knows about it... You know
That's why i don't think about Polish SERVER but only about translation of the game to some other languages. Because there aren't too many players from Poland, France or Spain, but some of these who play Kapilands want the game in their version. They don't want server. They want to play on existing 2 realms of default version with their national language. As i said in my last post creating servers for each country makes no sense, because there are 100-200 players who log in one time per week
I just suggest to translate default servers and create an option to translate the game from english to national language of each player.
Sorry for bad english but i am from Poland and i don't speak english well :/

Hi there!
A quick update on further Kapilands versions ... We'll probably be launching a Polish server some time this year, we are already in touch with a possible partner. The French server will also launch this year. I am actually just finalizing some of the translations, so it should be going online in about 1-2 months, maybe sooner. A Czech translation is on the way, as is a Portuguese one. We could definitely still use a Spanish one ... any other languages are always welcome. If you know of good translators in any language we don't have already (who also have some pc-knowledge), please refer them to me! My e-mail address is:

Best regards,

I think a Chinese version would be a good idea, as my knowledge, there are at least 50 players from Taiwan in Kapilands and Kapi-regnum, and the number is still increasing.
There are two forms of Chinese:simplifiy(used in Mainland China)and traditional(used in Taiwan and Hong Kong).
The translation of these two forms of Chinese is not very difficult, maybe you can design a system letting players only have to click a item to convert the forms, like what wikipedia and neopets.com do. That way, you do not have to build two different servers.
The national flag will be a big problem, Chinese always say "Taiwan is a part of PRC" (Hong Kong is REALLY a part of People's Republic of China), but, in fact, they do not have the power to govern Taiwan(ROC). In my opinion, the best way is like what English version does.
btw, it might be a big market for UpJers.com, I have not met anyone from Mainland China and Hong Kong though.

In this situation do Polish players can move their existing accounts on R1 and R2 to Polish server? It'd be great. I'm in contact with one of Polish players and we both think, that we don't want to lose our businesses that we've built on English version servers. But this is just a question, we're not going to argue, i just want to tell it's great that there will be a Polish server (be sure i'll tell my friends on internet and real life) and it would be greater if we could have our old accounts. I mean if now i have 5.250 mil. fixed assets and 1.5 mil cash then i'd want to have it on Polish server, not to lose it.
And the last question. As one of active forum user from Poland shoud/will/could be a Polish... dunno how to call it... councellor? tutor? I mean someone like an official suporter, who is between administration/moderation of the game and Polish players to make contacts between VIP's of the game and players. (This is ONLY a question
Not a proposition or something).

Sorry, an account transfer isn't possible. The idea of starting a new server is to give everyone a fair chance to start from scratch, among others. Plus, I think we'd have to hire an entire team of employees to manage all the transfers ...powerenterprise wrote:In this situation do Polish players can move their existing accounts on R1 and R2 to Polish server? Once we have a Polish server we'll also have a Polish admin - it's always a package deal. We don't open a new server unless we have an admin that also speaks the language. The administrator will choose moderators to help out on the board based on their support of the community
That's definitely a valid point, if you speak an internationally used language, such as English. I personally enjoy a multinational community, as I find it fascinating to converse with people from all over the world. There are those, however, who haven't learned a second language for various reasons, age/education being two of them, or those who just don't feel confident enough to play in a language that is not their mother tongue. That's why we try to offer as many different language servers as possible and will continue to do so.elder wrote:there is no need to create "national" servers. I guess one of the main assets of massive multiplayer games is the massive and diverse community, so splitting them among several servers is actually value destroying.
At least for me.
As far as I know the marketing laws for foreign companies in China are still pretty restrictive, which is why it is not that easy to enter that market. But if the chance comes, we'll definitely seize it!amnotu wrote: I think a Chinese version would be a good idea, as my knowledge, there are at least 50 players from Taiwan in Kapilands and Kapi-regnum, and the number is still increasing.
