a new line of productions...

Post by Guest » 23.08.2007, 20:08

i think their should be a new product line added to the game.

fishing port: 182,000 green - 150,000 yellow - 215,000 red.

expansion costs: 4,190 per SQM. building time = 45 minutes per SQM

building produces:
fishing bait, 0.10c +2 kWh+ 0.1 beef (beef, or raw beef i forgot proper name)
tuna, 0.97 +0.1 gas+ 5 bait to produce
salmon, 2.50c +0.2gas+ 8 bait to produce
carp, 1.75c +0.1 gas+ 1 bait to produce
swordfish, 15.80 +0.2 gas+ 15 bait to produce
shark, 17.85c +0.5 gas+ 20 bait to produce
bass, 3.05c +0.1 gas+ 5 bait to produce

i would go further into detail but im don't want to sound like im a game design editor *he he*

and you could make different products down the line from the types of fish, besides food of course like smoked salmon, shark meat, or use carp to make new products such as lamp oil, which could make another product to mane like oil lamps to sell in stores. it just came to me it would probably be cool if added to the game, but the list goes on for ever with what you could produce from fish if it was added to the game, it would probably add another 20 or more products.

i would love to see the market reaction to this lol.

it would be more of a type of product to do when you have a tad bit of experience, not just something you can jump into like a plantation.

it would be more like having a car factory.

but yeah, thats my idea for improving the game.

Sounds like a lot of carp to me. (Sorry, can't resist a pun.)

True, no new products is pretty much rule 1 of the suggestion forum. But I do like how you laid it out. Rather than just naming one product or duplicating functions that exist, you have a solid foundation for a line. I like that you use gas as an input, since it's wholely a consumer good now. And then though I assume each of the fish would be it's own retail good (Grocery? Which RC?) you do lay out how it could be used as inputs as well.

My only criticism would be that the products are all way too similar to each other. Conceptually we know the difference, but practically speaking it's the same fish product with 6 names.

Not likely to happen as noted but I do like the way you laid it out. I'm always anxious to hear what product lines people might find interesting.

This is definitely one of the better suggestions. even though it won't be added, It should be.

If anyone makes a similar game and also has a "We listen to users and implement ideas" agenda they will be successful.

This game seems to flatly refuse all ideas that aren't there own.

yeah lol, i put alot of thought into it over the past few weeks when i heard a couple people talking about ways to improve the game, i was so excited to post my idea i jumped the gun and didn't see the "READ FIRST" post lol, i saw it like 2 minutes after i posted.

at least its a good conversation piece he he =)

i have played alot of massive online games, this is my first business & economy game, i found kapi accidentally whilst on a different site.

I've seen alot of games kind of list this, but kapilands is #1 on my list of favored games. no other browser game comes close even to this day.

e.g. i used to play RPG, mmorpg, simulation games, fantasy games, pretty much any online or strategy games. i am a self proclaimed gaming critic lol.
