Raw Material LLC (NPC) prices!

Raw Material LLC (NPC) prices!
1,000,000 Steel Raw Material LLC (NPC) 0 135.00 135,000,000.00
when demand is so high, why
Raw Material LLC (NPC) keeps the 135 price?
shouldn't that price raise as the market demands requires?
It is in the end a Server-> company!

The price cap is there so that steel doesn't get too high.
This is nuts for steel producers since their costs to make are generally quite high. If there was no cap, the price would probably be around 350-400 per unit. I imagine then the price of coal would go up, too. Good for me.
Which would be bad for the buyers.
A newb corp could make enough money for the steel, if it was that price. It might take them longer, though. Or they could always start in steel and stuff.

There would be more mines, fewer wells and gas stations. Eventually it all balances itself out, that's why the market point is called equilibrium.
I actually think it would help new players if the steel prices went up (not that they have to). They have a bunch of steel to sell and early on need cash way more than steel. It's the middle players just starting to do expansions that would be hurt the most. But as I said, were it more lucrative, there would just be more people entering the steel business until eventually some balance was reached.
I suspect the real reason the NPC exists where he does is not for a price ceiling, but to avoid shortages. It's highly unlikely, but theoretically a group of players could find themselves stuck. Imagine (and again I said this is unlikely) that every player in the game used up all their stones, then they realize that no one built a mine. Just amongst players, they'd be trapped because without stone you couldn't build a mine to make stone ... etc etc. Hence an NPC is required to guarantee the raw material needed.

Im really glad there is an NPC for raw materials. I suppose there is still a point in raising the price. New players get a lot of free steel for their early buildings and expansions. This should suffice for most basic needs.
We could argue about this forever and Im pretty sure the devs have decided NOT to raise the price.
What I would urge people to tho is NOT to buy steel from other players at prices around 135 since they should have lower prices. If I can't get steel below 133 I buy from the NPC. I loose money this way but I want to make a point.

Hi,
no, the creator of the game does not want to change/ increase this price of the NPC, as also new companies should have the possibility to be able to buy steel... If we raise this price, it will be very difficult for newbies to let their company grow....
Steel can be sold for higher prices; people just have to offer a higher q. There are lots of customers for high-q-steel as this is being used for e.g wardrobes... cars... computers...

If steel price will go up for those that are newbie it will be ok since is not recomanded to Expand
I reset my account 5-6 times before I really get the way to start and expansion I don't advice to be done till you have a line of production and by then it will be easy to buy even steel
Also NPC should reactualizes prices weekly and announce it with a week before! like bank announces his quotations! and that price can be up or down price request depending on number of newbie etc!

The steel price in the NPC is quite balanced to the other market prices, the producers (some already have but they seem to have it as part of their own production-chain and not for sale) just have to realise what all other gamers have: with no RC you will loose .....
Steel production is raw material like power and water, yes but I still get quite amaced when I see how few invest in RC
