Sale!

The market has been changed so you can't submit NPC controlled prices for larger than NPC prices.... so why not clear all the other offers on the market OVER NPC prices. Have a warning mailed to every player maybe and 1-2weeks later all products will be removed if they have not already been removed by their owner.

This would just help clear the market of stupid offers!

If they fail to do so, they will sent an immortal, Annoying Orange. Incidentally, I thinking the Annoying Orange on YouTube was made by someone who knows Illy.

Aside from the random/spam comments here, I do agree.

It's pointless to still have all those higher offers out there, they should be removed. either with, or without a warning.
some people were selling stuff for 10.000 caps on purpose so their name would remain there for a long time as a 'free advertisement'.
Remove those Q0 above NPC offers. :(

Putting things on the market above market price is an excellent way to 'store value' if you have free capital. It allows you to keep from leveling up (you lose 10% of your cash, instead of having to go to market and buying an extremely expensive item relative to production costs, throwing away cash to keep from leveling up). If you are about to level up, you could go to market and list 10,000 seeds for 1,000C a piece, for instance, and while you would lose the 10%, it's much better than losing the difference between the production cost of something *purchased* at market price and the market price.

I did this once (with Steel), because I was trying to avoid leveling up. It was really just an experiment, and I wouldn't do it again (because leveling up costs less than the 10% sales commission) but I don't think it should be banned. Companies should have as much room to maneuver finanacially as possible. Leveling up is like regulation, it makes sense - but there is also some strategy to growing as large (From a FA perspective) as possible before leveling up, while still maintaining enough free capital to operate your business.

Locking down the game is never a good thing - it should be allowed to grow organically, unless it's abused. I don't think it is abused right now, because there is not a rash of players buying seeds for 30C per unit. If there were, we could talk. You're just asking for aesthetic reasons, which is silly. Business ain't always pretty.

You obviously haven't seen the recent updates.

You can no longer sell NPC items ABOVE NPC prices. It's physically impossible to do. If it was still possible and someone could have put an offer on yesterday then sure keep it as it is. But as it isnt now, those offers have been there for months and it is illegal to buy them unless you are the company who put them up!

If you wanted to store your value with that 10% then use a non-NPC product, be my guest! But there's no point in these offers anymore.

The thing is, in real world you would pay for store front to sell your product anyway, like at a swap-meet you pay for a space if your going to sell something, but in this case were dealing with a-lot more then some old collectibles. And you can still sell items like seeds, steel, wood, with quality for Above the NPC price, really it stabilizes the market for these products instead of seeing Q*) steel 0.5

Well stones power and water can all be removed if they are over the NPC price as they have no quality, I was amainly thinking about stones if I'm honest when i was posting this!

Q0 raw materials above NPC should all be removed as they'll never get bought and some are even using it as 'free advertising space' by putting stuff up for 1.000+ caps.

Other products that have an NPC but also have a quality level, will require some more work in cleaning.

but power, water, and stones are easy. just clear ALL items above NPC price.

I understand why this is done, but I feel like it makes the game a lot more boring. Perhaps if the price was only available to beginners (people below a certain level) - it makes it much less interesting when very large companies are able to leverage their huge infrastructure investments and take advantage of the price caps like newer players do.

Ultimately, price floors/ceilings do benefit the poor/new player - they just benefit the rich/old players even more.

they benefit the little guys.... and hinder the big guys, as if there was no cap a big company could buy all power on the market and sell for 0.5 until there was enough supply to lower this.... therefore it benefits the smaller companies more....

I would probobly do it xD

that's what they do with coins at the moment... there should be a price cap for coins.

I agree with that. Coins are getting to exspensive and pricing small buisness to go without PA or use their own money but Upjers like their second choice.

There will never be a price cap with coins because there is a "price cap" already. Coins will never get above 1.5B because that is the max worth of the coin compared to a maxed company's profit.

Remember when coins got to 350M+ on Realm 1? They droped to 150M and are just now getting back to 300M five months later. The coin market takes care of itself. ;)

but still...
small buisness can't buy coins because they are too expensive for them...
and if small players could afford to buy the coins, there would be higher demmend for coins, which will cause more buying of coins :)
