Rent and Renting your buildings

Nike clothing, Rebok shoes and many toys are some of the items produced in factories located in China. Factories which many US based corporations rent to produce their commodities. In turn the corporations pay these factories and their owners rent to use them and have rights to produce in them.

My suggestion is to implement rent in this game. We all know that many people in real life cannot afford the real thing so they rent buildings/ apartments. My plan is to implement a renting system where a bigger corporation can lend his buildings away to other players for rent each week. While the owner of the rented building will retain all rights to it and see what is made and by which quanitity it is made in. But for the tenant will receive a notice in the mail saying you will pay xxx.xx amount by a given date or the contract to produce in the building is over. The amount rented is decided on both the tenant and the landlord. In all this will help out the newer players of Kapilands and help us establish a better way to interact with other players. Also it can help already established companies by branching out and seeing new commodites in which they can create.

An Example will be I have 4 idle factories at the moment producing nothing since I do not have the high quality coal and iron to produce high quality steel. So atm it is idle and not making me any money just taking up space. Company Tombob1023 wants to explore the steel business and tombob1023 has the required materals to start production but lacks the factories needed for production. So tom and I agree on $10,000,000 a week. So I accept the contract and tom suddenly get's my factories in his production tab, but what's different is he does not get to hire or fire any workers or expand my business. He can see the regular commodities the building can produce and how long it would take and what materials. The landlord will still have the building in his production tab but without the ability to produce any items. At the end of the week tom would receive a message saying your rent to company mineextractcorp of $10,000,000 is due. Please pay within the next 2 days or risk breaking the contract. If tom does not pay the landlord can repo back his building(which basically just means they now can produce in that building.

So that's my take on how we can make kapilands better. What do you guys think of it?

I don't have time to give you a full answer right now I'm afraid, but any kind of lending situation tends to open the door to cheating.

the capabilities to do this in a different manner are in place..
You and him agree on a production Price ..say 10% of Selling Price..
He send you the ingredients to produce the item at his production cost...you run your Factories and when the product is finished you send to him at the agreed price.
I believe this does not break any of the rules.

In the way you mention it PK the owner can easily take your items and not produce anything for what you gave him and take your cash. Of course we will have safeguards to protect agasint fruad and cheating. Knolls it techinically won't be lending more like renting. What cheating problem do you see Knoll and I will try my best to find a solution.

is this game not played basically on trust...you agree to buy/sell xxx at $$$ the seller/buyer does the same...sure there are a few who just dont care and cancel or just dont pick up contracts but most in here honor their commitments. This would just be another one of those commitments...based on trust.
