Let players edit the price of their goods in the market

Let players edit the price of their own goods in the market at no charge, instead of having to "buy" them and send them back at a new price. This would be more like real life and would make markets more liquid. Already, you can edit the price of shop goods with no penalty.

You can for example put tons of a product in the market. But, before someone buys it, the price for that good gets much lower. Then, you will never sell your products and you will have wasted money paying the comission. But, if you could change the price, you would be able to lower it without throwing your money away.

But, then someone sells it one cap lower then you then one cap lower then them, etc. and then you wish you could edit your price without paying commission. There are very few things I suggest selling on the market. They would be wood, power, water, and stones...

I don't think this should happen because of cheating.

Player A could put up 100,000,000,000 Power for .01 each and then quickly change it to the normal price to save on the commission. Player A then pays 100,000,000 instead of 2,400,000,000 (.24 each) which is a big difference. Also if a random player manages to get the power before Player A changes the price, both players will be considered cheating which will only create more problems and can be used as an excuse for cheaters to sell expensive things cheap.

But maybe giving the player a 10% change increment (rounded down) every 24 hrs will be better. Like I place power on the market for .25 each, but they are still on the market the next day. I will have to wait until the 24 hour counter hits 0 and then I can change it up or down .02 (10% of .25 is .025, rounded down is .02) So I can adjust the price to anywhere between .23 and .27. The 24 hour counter resets when the price is changed so if I haven't changed the price of my power on the market for 72 hours, I can only change it once and have to wait 24 hrs to change it again.

That's a good point, which I hadn't thought of. How about you can edit down freely, but have to pay to edit up. This, however, would amount to a lot of bookkeeping for the system, which they might reasonably prefer to avoid.

just a thought. to help prevent cheaters making a mess of this proposal there could be two options.

1st option would be a free option to lower your market offer to make your goods more attractive to buyers if the price drops. as you have already paid the market tax and it would be higher thanthe lower amount i don't see that as a problem.

2nd option would be a penalty for increasing your price. if you want to raise your market price it would cost you an additional 10-15% of the additional value added.

Or perhaps, if you want to change your price, you can only lower it, never increase it. Then, cheaters wont use it for advantage and it will help players who accidentaly put their things too expensive or players who put goods in the market and the products price fall (so, he wont be able to sell it)
