Cleaning up the forum (R2 Coin section)

Post by Guest » 11.05.2009, 12:38

Its getting a bit annoying to see people post in a thread that hasn't been visited by its starter for more then a month in order to ask him to send them coins which he doesn't have anyway.

I suggest a cleanup in there.
Start with removing all threads older then 1 month.
Then remove all threads where the creator hasn't posted for a month.

That will stop this useless bumping of threads which offers don't exist anymore for ages...

Keeping the dead threads in there doesn't help anybody cuz the people posting in there won't get any coins anyway.

I have asked before- the reason they keep them is so people can see what the markets used to be like and be suprisesd... I think it might be a bit ok- but i would prefer clean up- I think they just lack the man power to go through all the threads one by one deleteing them. They left it to long originally and they cant do anything now with over 7000 threads

If people would just change the title of their threads to "closed" it won't be a problem. I am against deleting the old threads but they do need to be closed. However, how is one to know if the offer isn't valid anymore if the thread starter doesn't say so?

The Mods usually do a good job of closing threads if the thread starter asks. ;)

I am really disappointed.
You write an *up*-posting into that old and "death" thread, into a thread from another author and after that write a suggestion in here and complain that people *up* such threads... :(

Azer pointed out the real "problems" and the intentions about the actual method...

And before someone of you starts spamming in old threads: Please remain fair and avoid such childish behaviour.

You could also lock them.

And if you don't get it i'm a bit dissapointed.

The real problem is people posting a thread and never return to the board to change it to closed.
That could be changed with closing every thread which hasn't been visited by the author for a month.

That shouldn't be to difficult, is it??

ps.
If spamming those threads is the only way to get them locked i'll just start spamming the thread that keeps getting upped over and over again by retards that see someone is selling coins at 9M and don't bother reading the posts where people already pointed out the guy isn't selling them anymore!!!!!!

Its often good with the suggest/questions areas to bring up a post thats months old but if we got a lock on the high traffic areas such as sales then it would really help clean up the mess a little. So if a thread hasent been posted on in 1-2 months it gets locked and the very few threads that people keep bringing up can be locked my mods on a case by case
