about forum time

I encounter a problem in forum time
In the profile, I have set the time zone to UTC+8
However, the system automatically adjusts it to summer time.
It's strange to have all clocks around me saying it's something to ten,
but I have posted something at a quarter to eleven
It's a bit confusing as Hong Kong doesn't apply summer time now.

Will it be possible to include a checkbox for summer time adjustment?

Probably not. Every region does their summer time a little differently, with the US even switching their long-standing dates a few years ago. And this forum software is standard phpBB, which is pretty straightforward with the time shifting. You'd need some custom package to find out (and update) the rules for every location on earth, and that's awfully difficult to do.

Easier to just pop into profile and switch your time zone to make it accurate.
