Kapibank...

Post by Guest » 24.02.2008, 13:56

Hey,

I regularly buy some shares at the kapibank. But there is never happening something...

Can anyone explain why there is happening nothing?

It would be nice to update stock prices. Make it more interesting to buy and sell shares. As it is now just a way to put away some money and getting less back... Maybe there can be a bank-acount where you can save some money, that would make the game also more exciting, as nobody can see the exact amount of money someone have...

Please let me know what you all think about this idea...

Regarding the stock market part, I'm going to have to refer you to one of the other hundreds of posts on the subject. ;) Here's a recent one.

As for "banking money" there are a couple of problems with that. One, people will then want interest and this is potentially abusive. Plus, your money is better spent on your business, which is the point of the game.

Secondly, even without interest the "hiding money" situation doesn't sound all that appealing. You can virtually do it through the existing stock market (even if there's a bit of a loss) or through materials. This is useful to avoid leveling up for example.

But to just hide money so people won't know, I don't think it's all that useful personally. I tend to judge rankings on assets, not cash. And also cash gives a chance to guess what others are up to - which is a fun little thing. It doesn't give away that much info, but for those who want to try to pay attention to such things, I think it's a fun little hint at who's switching lines or preparing to make a jump.
