have higher quality contests because I can't make stuff at that low of a quality at my production facilities or it will screw everything up.

Or fix the quality in the factories so it produces the quality that you set instead of something else. Not sure that quality settings ever made any sense.

There is nothing wrong with the quality settings.

If you want to produce a q0 product, you have to set the quality in the factory to 0 and use q0 component for production. At least the qualities of the components have to be low enough not to reach q1 after the addition of all involved qualities. If you don
