Kapiland like a real economy

Post by Guest » 16.05.2010, 15:58

Kapiland is supposed to be a business simulator game and yet it barely is. It is impossible to go bankrupt because the cost of production for most goods is so low. Take power for example, unless the price of power fell to .01 you can still make money. Also many of the goods, sell for too little, even when no one is selling them the price is not worth making them. This is why a few industries have dominated the game, such as oil and power.
Suggested changes
1. Remove the price cap on the basic goods, because of it the price will always remain high. This is because the market cannot balance out by causing overproduction.
2. Make the price of goods dependent on the supply level, if there is no supply the price should be very high
3. Create a cost for owning factories, like a wage to employees paid every day. This will force companies to optimize their production.
4. Increase the building cap and get rid of the size cap. This will give the game a purpose to those players who have maxed their buildings out.

you might not know this but KAPILANDS IS NOT A REAL ECONOMY. If you had enough common sense and brain power you would realize that all of your proposals have already been proposed countless times and doing a simple search would explain it all to you, why they were rejected.

1. so you want people selling wardrobes for 2million a pop. It gives the markets stability, as if I could sell a pear for 2million I would. But in real life it wouldn't happen. So your first proposal isn't real life but fantasy.

2. if there is no supply I could sell a pear for 5million under your proposals so that ain't real life. It would require a lot of programming time (which Upjers doesn't have).

3. What are production costs? Do you want to increase your cost base making even more products un-profitable? It will make the game harder driving away lots of people. Do you want to make Kapilands more of a ghost town than it is? You do pay people when you hire them so this is in-valid.

4. The building cap is to get people to buy a Premium account and pay for the game. It alos helps make the game fair for late starters. Their is a building max and that code related, can't be programmed highre unless they re-program the entire game. So they won't do it.

so capiche? Do you now understand why your proposals have been rebuked several times? Please don't be intimidated, because I am annoyed people can't be bothered to search their questions and GREED has left so there is no MrNasty left, so I fill in part time

[EDIT by GoldenEye: Hopefully you will not start complaining again about "less activity" in the forums now. Playing "Mr. Nasty" is definetly not the correct way to get other players used to the forums and make them enjoy it. So better be nice and helpful. Thanks.]
