Production Cap?

Ideas how the game could be improved and suggestions for subsequent versions of the game. (this is just a space for ideas! We can't guarantee suggestions will be implemented!)

I don't think anyone is complaining about having to play every two days because most already play every day.

I'm complaining that the cap is arbitrary, and capricious, and makes your production structures unnecessarily inefficient. I'm also asking why the cap exists. And I'm also asking that it be removed, because it would make the game a lot more enjoyable (and realistic).

Not really. Lots of players are inactive in Kapilands and log in once a week at best.
If they can set their production to 2,000,000,000 units of power and log in once a month the cancel it and reset it what does that do? It gives them 1.17billion power every month for doing nothing! They then put that on the market for whatever price they feel like reset and start all over again.

Activity is discouraged rather than encouraged. What is the point in logging in every day if you have nothing to do? There we go... nothing.

The reason this cap isn't realted to level as level means pretty much nothing. It shows the limit of the amount of money you have had before and changes your production ouput slightly.

If we let higher level players make more then that does nothing really...

When they're a low levelled player they will set production to 99,999,999 and leave it come back after a week and reset.
When they're a medium levelled player they will set production to 299,999,999 and leave it and come back after a week and reset.
When they're a high levelled player they will set production to 499,999,999 and leave and come back after a week and reset.

In the current system though it shows you that you need to be more and more active as you get bigger to secure your place. To earn the right to stay at that size in comparison to everyone else.

And like said previously, you should only need to log in once a day and that shouldn't be seen like a chore!

It is common knowledge. Just start pulling up people's Showcases where is shows you the last day they logged in.

Maybe they stop playing as much because of the annoyance of the production cap.

No. most people aren't that petty. RL problems are reason most people become less active or expansion and forget about Kapilands.

So...I'm hearing increasing the production cap would *not* reduce the number of players.

Maybe a more productive cap would be a maximum number of days you can schedule production for.
