It's a great way to make money for beginners :)
Get yourself to be in one of the top100, win a CC, and sell it :)
Some people will pay alot for CCs.

In Realm 1 prices vary from 550 million caps to 700 million caps per certificate, and in Realm 2 prices vary from 175 million caps to 250 million caps per certificate. :)

yup, it is very good. i helped this guy who had around 200k assets and around 100k, i told him to enter contest, he spent around 100k on it, then won a CC worth hundreds of millions. for some reason hardly anyone enters contests anymore, so to come in top 100 does not cost much. it can easily make 1000% profit if you spend 50-70million or even more than that on super low contests.

I think the low costs of the last contest (leather jackets Q5) have have their reason in the unusual duration. It was just a one week-contest and even though it was announced in the KapiTimes I guess people ignored the blinking icon the Sunday. Maybe they were just too used at the "regular" durations that they did not think there would start a new contest without a new issue of the KapiTimes. Who knows? ;)

The contest is always good for some surprises. :D

maybe, but it serves them right for not checking anyway! it is such a good way of making money, i enter every contest now. i dont know why i didnt enter contests in the past. now i am even making my own products so i can sell them on for high prices on the market and trying to win a contest certificate!

the thing with contests is that they are so much fun anyway plus its the best way of making money and requires no effort, although i have been carried away with it a few times and entered too many products for where i want to finish :D

What I tried to express (but forgot to mention  ) is that due to the unusual duration (only one week) and unusual starting time (started in the week between two KapiTimes-issues) there have been less participants in the last contest.

And by the way: It's great to see that there are actually players "out there" that really enjoy the contests and see them as a chance!
You will certainly get to know a contest with a product that you do not like (all players know that feeling ;) ) but hopefully you will remember your posting in here then.

If we all see the contest as a way to bring some more variety into the game we will certainly all be able to enjoy the contests much more than before. Because if we stop complaining about the wrong choice of a contest product we will have more energy and capacities to master the new challenges.
Wow - how pathetic...

The leather jacket contest was cool because everyone seemed to just ignore making an effort. It gave me 1 certificate in both realms!

On the topic of contests in general, I only do it when I feel I have a sliver of a chance to get a certificate. The stone contest wasn't even worth trying on any realm for me. The current one, Strawberries Q2, is much more exciting. At least on Realm 1. Need to focus on other things on R2. :?

the stones turned out to be quite a cheap contest, apparently alot of people refused to take part because it was a raw material. to get 100th place would have only cost 3million

the contest's is probably the part of the game I like the most... some are suppose to be harder than others... this silver necklace is a bargain for me... as I make jewelry on R1...

If only all the new players would realize that making contest products on the side (10 -15 slots) is the fastest way to grow your company (legally.. ;P )... but then I might make less... .. so ignore that thought...
