Inflation or out of control demand Realm 1

Post by Guest » 27.07.2010, 00:07

I think inflation has hit realm 1 prices are insane on the market. So I think it time to absorb some of the extra kaps off the server. Surely plastic is not worth 1200 kaps? oil and gas prices are way up. even wood prices after q0 are going up. I think it is because folks have an abundance of kaps to spend.

Or the demand for products is too high and maybe we need more npc for other products to control the price (which I hate)

Yes, and trying to sell for decent prices on the market to lower prices doesn't work. The big companies just keep merchanting. A bit annoying but I guess that's life.

Indeed, cotton is now worth as much as the textiles themselves were 1-2 years ago! :o

i think its because not many people are playing. also out of the people that do play, most people make power, oil, stones and then the big companies just sell wardrobes so there arent many people making the products like plastic.

wood is going up because of the wardrobes thing.

As I replied in your other thread on user to user.

your stone calculations are wrong.

A dozen 12k mines at your level will only produce just short of 86 million stones per month.

1 mine = 238,509 stones per day

yeah harry, recalculate what youll be making a month cause the numbers arent right and even so, there is alot of stone needed. In my Realm2 account i get weekly 7 million stone and need even more to do my expansions. For a couple of thousand users thats alot of stone each month.

My guess is because a year or two ago these products have crap prices and no one wanted to invest in them. Also, people who chose to make oil grow a lot slower than people who make just gas. Just have to wait for more companies to enter the industry, or existing companies to restructure.

Really? :?

I know at least 4 people (including me) who can make that much or nearly that much stone in one day in Realm 2.

As I read these pages, one theme continues to emerge: The gross imbalance of profiability within the industries. This doesn't seem to be rocket science. If the game suffers because of it, then it needs to be fixed. Period. :?

Would it be helpful, also, to have a regular "purging" of inactive companies? It might make it a bit more clear what is actually happening.

We haven't gotten that bad in realm2 yet. But I am afraid for the future as I read about the slow implosion of realm 1. Funny thing, that...just what unbridled capitalism is destined to do anyway. Even in a controled environment it just can't help itself. It has to be very regulated to work. Hmmmmm.....
