Price and Quality Stats
I was just wondering how these statistics are calculated. I know how to do avg. But i am pretty sure they throw in more numbers than the basic i sold this much during this 24hrs and he sold that much. As i was just messing with the kapi cola market in France just to experiment and i came up with the following results.
Day 1 i sold 1000 Q10 in 24hrs for 77 ea. The stats page said this
Supply: 22
Avg. Price: 40
Avg. Q: 6.86
Day 2 i sold 790 Q10 in 24hrs for 80 ea. The stats page said this
Supply: 331
Avg. Price: 40
Avg. Q: 9.97
Day 3 i sold 4472.65 Q10 in 24hrs for 45 ea. The stats page said this
Supply: 425
Avg. Price: 40
Avg. Q: 10.66
(As i only sell Q10 there had to have been someone selling a higher quality.)
Day 4 i sold 4534.3 Q10 in 24hrs for 45 ea. The stats page said this
Supply: 594
Avg. Price: 40
Avg. Q: 10.17
(i must of sold enough to drag the quality back down.)
First Question: How is the supply calculated?
Second Question: Why did the avg. price never change as i was selling higher then it every time.
Third Question: Is average quality the average of that day or of all the days?
The only thing i've been able to do is increase how much i sell per day for that price.

First question did you collect your money from the store every day? As your sales are only added to the supply amount once you collected your money.
As for the price, there is a price cap on all goods (it around the amount that 88 people out of 100 find expensive) and no matter how much you sell above that price the system will record it at the cap price.
Supply is normally something like 1/2 of today's sales + 1/4 of yesterdays sales + 1/8 of the day before's etc, but your figures don't match hence my first question.
P.S the stats price updates at 1am (so about 4 hours ago) just incase you have been collecting several times a day.

I only collect once a day as that is also when i reset all of my sales. Other than when i reset it i don't touch it. Also that avg. price thing probably makes sense so that would mean the price cap for kapi cola is 40 then.
And as for the supply... what you put is opposite of what i collect daily.
Other than some extra unanswered questions that information is very helpful.

I have been playing kapilands for over a year and to be honest- I have no idea how any of these stats are calculated through I do know the system NPC has something to do with them. Check animal food on most Realms for example, in most countries 1 is sold... No-body sells animal food in shops! Therefore it is sold by the system-possibly at the systems ideal price for that product.
Maybe therefore it sells more than just the one in other products. In-case, for example, I decided to just jump in and raise the market really high so I alone could make a load of money, because no-body else was selling that product.
But I'm talking rubbish cause I have no idea
Would like it to be answered though
PS In future put questions in here:

Every item has a max sales price, thats why you see cars at 150k exactly. There is no point selling above this unless your optimum price is above the max (rare in my experience) but its possible dependent on your costs. Once this max is reached nothing you do can change it.
The only thing you can do to increase sales/profit is get the Q as low as you can then dump huge amounts of high Q and that 'should' give you a long term bonus. This is why the diamond ring market (at least on R2) is so hard to crack, the Q is so high that your lower Q sells horrifically but the AGV price is still 20k+
As for sales its just plain odd, I notised that on the watches sales my sales alone were above the total? Puzzs suggestion seems to be somewhat around the mark but it may depend on when you started your cycle in relation to the servers is all I can offer

Actually i think that the price does actually raise it just doesn't show it. My proof or what i think proves this is.
I sold 782.45 Q10 Kapi Cola for 80 ea. on the first day(24hrs).
Price:40 (of course)
AvgQ: 10.17 (again)
Supply: 594
The next day i sold 785.23 Q10 Kapi Cola for 80 ea.
Price: 40 (duh.)
Avg Q: 10.04
Supply: 2643 ( sold a lot of Q10 for 45 the day before i started righting stats for.)
With this it is showing that i am slowly starting to sell more at that price which i would only think means that the avg. price is raising. Allowing me to sell more faster at the same price.
Also i think the stats actually reflect the previous day not the day that i match them with. So 2634 goes with the first day. My pattern goes like this
Every day i collect and restock at within 1hr of 3:00 forum time. This would mean that on this day it will show what i stocked about 2 days ago and sold yesterday.

1 sell
2 refill
Stats 0

2 sell
3 refill

As i collect after it calculates it so it show my sales 1 day late. I think. I know what i am talking about but it is hard to say it properly. Perhaps someone who does understand could help me explain.

Hmm, thats odd.
The change is a small one so its hard to tell what caused it. The chage in the supply may be so small in comparison to demand that it may be irrelevent...combined with a lower Q the change is just plain strange WTHell?
Im running my own experiments on R2 so ill get back to you with results. I hope there will be no outside changes I can play around with every factor

Horizon remember that he is selling Q10 products, so it is natural for him to sell a little more as it drops.Horizon Holdings wrote:Hmm, thats odd.
