Gas Prices
Who keeps dumping gas on the market for really low prices. It is driving down the market and losing profit for everybody.
We need like a syndicate or something that way we can keep gas prices steady at around 80. As that is where it usually is or has been for as long as i've been selling gas.

Sorry. I didn't mean to buy it from other people for 80. That would be terrible. As i also buy gas and sell it in gas stations. I mean selling in stores. I am sort of a newbie to the whole store and avg. sales price thing but if you go to stats and then the price and quality page the number for gas was about 80 across all the countries, although the avg. quality was different in all countries and i don't know how much that would affect the price. That is just what i have been noticing. And recently they have been pushed down to 70 in just a days time. I was just wondering then what do you (other gas sellers) sell your gas in stores for. As the prices are getting lower.
Ah, stores, that makes a difference.drenin wrote:Sorry. I didn't mean to buy it from other people for 80. That would be terrible. As i also buy gas and sell it in gas stations. Well I am in Realm 2 an I always sell my gas for 17 caps profit, meaning: I buy gas for 25 +1Q, then add 17 on top of that, and this is my sellingprice in the gasstation. and
This way I sell a full shop in around 24 to 27 hours.

I think you are selling way to cheap Sally

You think?Ronintje wrote:I think you are selling way to cheap Sally

But I sell over the average stats sellingprice.
Explain please, I am always open to see the possible errors off my way...
EDIT:
Oh wait, you mean buying higher quality should result in being able to increase my sellingprice/profit, that is what you mean isn't it?
.................hmmmm...........
Well I thought higher quality also means faster sellingtime, so in that way my profit does increase ..

There are 2 points i'm referring to with my comment.
First indeed, higher Q should result in higher profit.
But when you have the optimum profit your sales time should not decrease to get the optimum sale/profit ratio.
I always check my sales time to get my optimum profit and i usually sell full gas stations in 3 days depending on the stock i have.
I'll try to get 68-90 hours to sell, so my sales price is prolly a lot more then yours.
I however don't like restarting every day, so my daily profit might be less then yours.
But selling more might also result in an increasing gass price on the market

Therefor i always look for the top range of the optimum sales price range.
Right now i guess i make a 50 profit on my gas sales which in 3 days is also 17 a day, roughly counted offcourse.
quick example from wardrobes - optimal increase in price in store is about 75 per q, while you people who retail them in stores buy them from other players for example for 50 per q.
a positive effect of pricing like this and not like sally is that, evene though you earn more, you use less products -> more on market -> lower buying price from other players -> more profit, and also you increase stats price -> higher selling price in stores -> more profit

Wardrobes 75 per quality in storeprice, that means I am paying my wardrobe suppliers way to much (100 per Q).GREED inc. wrote:quick example from wardrobes - optimal increase in price in store is about 75 per q, while you people who retail them in stores buy them from other players for example for 50 per q.

But that is for another thread. sigh..
I am really lost now.
Suddenly I feel like a beginner..probably be best to start the tutorial all over again. lol..
Anyway, according to Azer a full shop of Gas should sell in around 24 hours, and that is precisely what I do..plus that I pay more then it says in the stats,
(Germany sells gas Q16 for almost 51 caps, I sell for 58 caps), so I thought I'd be alright.
Well, I will do the calculation again according to Knolls sheet, I guess there is no way in escaping that, but it is a lot of work with just my pen and my paper.
I hoped I had found a way to avoid it.

Maybe I should send you (Greed/Ronintje) my account info so you can set my store prices for me..

stats price is in most, if not all cases lower than the price that gives you maximum profit
and hopefully you wont do it with tha knolls sheet where he had that a-b^3.5/c or something formula because it is wrong.
do it there where you find the maximal value of (a-b)/c, where a is retail price, b is buying/market price and c is selling time per unit.
hope you understand it

Actually i did the maximum profit per minute calculation for Q22 and it ended up in France i had to fill my stores 47.5% full and sell for 89 ea. and in Turkey i fill my stores 49% full and sell for 90 ea. But that also is when i buy it for 60 ea. Although since Turkey dropped way down below the others in price i don't know how much i will need to sell it for. I will probably just go half full stores for 24 hrs.
I thought that if you sold in full stores for 24 hrs. it ends up below market price. And then that drags down the avg. price. And makes you lose sales in the long run. Now i am so confused as one of the first things that i read about selling in stores is to never sell below market price even if that means selling in stores that are not full. Does that mean that gas is different than the other products that you sell in stores.
Help Please. Make me unconfused.
