Attention all Jewelers! =)

Post by Guest » 18.09.2008, 08:27

hi guys. for those of you who are selling golden necklaces, i hope that we can work together to push prices up. recently if you notice, the npc prices have been hitting 12,000. that is because i sell my q33-38 necklaces at 15500-16000 each! some of my partners are also selling at 13000 caps each. even at such prices, we still earn equal or more profit than wardrobes, for example. (no offense to wardrobes people. i'm just using it as a benchmark cos it's a popular product).

so don't be afraid to set higher prices for your necklaces. i started expanding a few jewelers, and i already see that the npc price has dropped, which means that some of you are pricing your necklaces too low. i humbly urge you to price your necklaces at (average price+200 per higher Q) in the stores. in fact, my prices are way higher.

in case you are wondering why i'm doing this, i'm not doing it so much for profit. i'm just letting you know of the potential there is to this market. in the long run it'll be good for the industry.

Regards
Jin

That price is just a little higher than the one I am using. (Never under 14,000 for any quality) However, I will increase it to meet your price to help everyone out.

i think that one of the first steps should nbe to raise the price on the market. If someone buys necklaces for 8000/unit then if they dont know any better they will only be selling them for 9000 most of the time. I think that if the market price took a jump, so would the overall selling price...

i bought everything and put in some at 6000+300q, but i'm beginning to think that might have been too low, anyway it wasn't much, just some leftovers

hmmm it depends on your quality. i'll rather we use average price+200Q. this formula may not be the best one. maybe some1 can do some calculations to find the best formula :D

if we always sell above the average price, the price can only go up. however, if your necklace Q is very high, say Q30, and the average Q is Q15, and the average price is 10,000, it makes no sense to sell your Q30 necklaces at say, 10,500. even though in this case you're selling a little above the average price, because of your high Q, you will only push the price down further.

so use abit of common sense when pricing your necklaces =) right now i'm selling Q30 at 15,000-15,300. but someone, or a group of people are selling at way too low a price, thus pushing the average price down.

sorry, i misunderstood you.

and when i say "use your common sense in pricing your necklaces", i'm referring to everyone who's selling their necklaces in their jewelers :D

anyway, wow, 16k is a high price. how much do you sell per day, if i may know?
