From what I have seen, the starting capital is not really the problem. The main problem is the raw materials that new companies start with.
I know a lot of people sell it to grow faster, but if there were some sort of restrictions placed on the sale of these items (min/max price for q0 steel, wood and stones for Traders) the cheaters would not have such an easy time to boost their real account.
--RevolvAround

Oh yes, I had forgotten about those starting mats. I used mine for construction when I started, so it didn't come to mind, but certainly, they represent a lot of money if someone reseting accounts over and over were to sell them =)

They would totally benefit from being something else. Like be "Training steel", "Training wood", etc, differing of the regular version, by not being sellable. I do however not know if a flag of the kind "this item can't be sold on the market / via contract" is a flag that currently exists in the game, or could be coded with relative ease in comparison to other anti-cheater suggestions.

Along the same lines of a starting tally I elaborated above, and probably easier to put in place, these starting mats could be added to the tally as well, and be totally absent from the warehouse. That is, instead of having "the tally" be just construction and production cash, have it also include some "steel credit", "wood credit", etc, and withdraw new construction materials from the tally rather than the warehouse (until the tally's empty).

From some input in this thread, it seems many ideas were suggested along the course of the game, way before I joined, certainly some of them better than my own =) I'm not sure in which measure bots are a problem. If they are, I really liked the above suggestions of manualy clicking to hunt them down -though popups in your browser have the double edge of being an annoyance to non-bot players too-.
But even without a bot and simply browsing manually, a cheater could sell everything and reset several times a day, making several milions. After slightly over a month of non-cheating regular play, I need about 2 days to make 3/4 of a milion. I understand older and well established player would be more worried about bot browsing competing against them on a comparable scale; but from my own perspective though, I wanted to point out that to new players like me, who are starting the game around now, the relative ease of doing it simply manually, without any bot help, combined with the sheer number of people apparently doing it, and how out of proportions that money can be to a daily legit production -even with a month of gameplay under your belt- are really very disheartening to the fresh blood in the game.

Automating it with programs only makes the problem worse, of course, but beyond the problem of bots, and beyond the tools available to hunt down/report cheater effect, I feel the primary root of the issue is how much wealth you can corrupt -with or without bots- out of its original intent of helping you start in the game (hence the tally suggestion).

Both of the mods that we are used to seeing, Tycoon and Knolls, appear to be on vacation. Neither one has posted anything in a few days.

2 away out of 11.

That leaves 9, wheres a post from them. Its not that hard to post a "We hear what your saying, we are discussing it" type of post.

Or is it?

11? I have only seen 2 active mods and 2 active admins. One of each seems to have ran away for the time being.

If you have a problem send it to either Attotech or Zbombe. They both seem to check their PMs often.

Signed and agreed.
I can't really imagine why no one seems to care about this thread, and more than that about the questions raised by CMB and Jonny.
I think Kapilands is the greatest web game I ever tried... we should do something, or it will be ruined.

i declared some cheater before 1-2 week so i still wait an answer
so activasion code is so necessary i think and a moderator must be online at least 12 hours in a day

If you pay us for that we'll do it.

An activationcode helps nearly nothing against cheaters, they only need some seconds more. It only helps against bots but not against the sort of cheaters which make the most problems.

This people people may have nothing doto instead of ruining a game, so they create 100 of companies to make one of their companies bigger.
I think there is only one good way to keep them away and this is deleting all their companies.

If their is an activation code they need a bit longer to log in, if therer is minimum price they will send the good a bit over it,... they'll always find a way do cheat.

An other thing I want to say ist that the mods in the forum have no other rights ingame as a normal player so they can't do something against the cheaters instead of giving the names they have gotten from other users to the admins and what they do with it is an other thing.

What about putting a constraint: one email address = one company.
In this way, including also an activation code sent over email, if a cheater wants to open 10 companies he must use 10 valid email addresses.........

like ****.hotmail.com?

This game is too long to let cheaters rule. There is a lot of ppl paying to play. I feel sry for the dev cause it must take up a lot of time to chase cheaters. Some help could be needed but how can the help be paid?

Seems like more than one person can handle, but with the cost of labor, how can a game like this be [censored] proof?

I'll sign but I'm not sure if will help... Story of my life really. Some ppl think they are smart because they win by cheating, but they just loose the dev money and customers. How long can it go on?

If I win the lotto I will work for free. *Goes to buy a lotto ticket*

I only started yesterday... I think this is a great game and it would be stupid to let it be destroyed by cheaters. Why aren't their cheathunters? Report buttons next to every offer? (easy to make) A top x of the biggest trades in the past hour/day/week (or the highest bid for one offer) etc etc
