If someone else asks for details of how your method is better will you respond to that? Like I said I have no business in gas but your calculations don't seem to make sense and if I say anything that might be slightly against your method you don't seem to like it, surely that is true tunnel vision.. i just think the advice that everyone sells their gas for cheaper over less time is quite poor especially from a more experienced player like yourself.

There is a distinct difference between a producer/retailer and a pure retailer.

A pure retailer needs high avg prices to achieve a good profit, and selling times to optimise his supply.

A producer/retailer only has to sell his daily production in a day to maximise his profits.

you may both be coming at this from different angles.

Point taken but has a producer/retailer that sells his stock daily because he has it actually maximized his profits or maximized his turnover? Two completely different things

Well I supose that depends what you mean by maximum profit.

It's clearly better for a pure retailer to have a well stocked warehouse but not so for a producer/retailer.

In my opinion as a producer/retailer I'd rather sell my items for 10 caps each than have them sat in the warehouse worth 100. Any extra cash coming in will be spent on expansions allowing you to produce more goods and thus making more profit.

I supose another way would be to sell less in your stores for a better price and then sell the surplus to the market or on contract.
I think the market could be ruled out unless you were selling in your stores at a ridiculously low price and selling on contract would involve a lot of work as the amount you can sell and for what price changes daily.
And even then there is no gaurantee that you would be able to realize the same profit as you would selling it all in store.

Now I laughed  rado84 there's no point in having a lot of cash here when you dont know how to spend it! And clearly you dont know! Currently you have cash reserves of 36bil caps while you FA is lower then 4bil. You need cash to expand - and the point of this game is to expand at the fastest rate possible to make more money and with that money to expand even faster. Clearly you missed that point - oh sorry no more negging you - I probably have lids on my eyes again for not seeing your great plan behind stocking up cash and then calling everybody with smaller reserves a worse player. In fact - I don't keep cash reserves - I never did and I never will - money that lay around never earn more money. So comparing cash reserves is useless. Let's compare FA - even if you spend your 36bil cash reserve on expanding right now - you wouldn't even come close to 10bil FA so basically you suck.

And coming back to gas topic - your selling method is ruining avg. gas price. Remind me please what's the avg. gas price (taken from statistics) on you beloved Bulgarian server where you're the one calling shots and convincing everyone to use 24hrs cycle. You've told me yourself that you're the biggest gas seller there. So we'll see which method gives better avg. prices Let's talk numbers now.

So:

Bulgarian server -
France avg. price 39,27 avg. quality 26,68
Germany avg. price 34,04 avg. quality 25,72

International server
France avg. price 69,51 avg. quality 18,82
Germany avg. price 82,85 avg. quality 22,97

Clearly you can see the difference! With such shi*ty avg. prices with the same size gas stations you'll earn much less money cause you'll be able to sell gas on your beloved 24hrs cycle for much less. Seriously if you can't see it now then you're a hopeless case!

No one says that your way isnt giving the best profit - yes it is but it's a short time profit cause in long term you'll actually ruining your profits. Using 48+ cycle makes AVG PRICES RAISE AND THEREFORE GAS SELLING PRICE RAISE. We were using 48+cycle here to get our avg. prices up. So that proves it work!

Seriously if you can't come to this conclusion looking on avg. gas prices I'll make genuine calculations and show you! It's pretty clear !

You'll be surprised how much I earned with that 'useless cash reserves' :)
My money that lay around earn ALOT more.
Always, always keep some cash, for an emergency or an oportunity.
