advertising cost money, I'm sure you can advertise kapi yourself if you want so much :)

and how do you know that kapi losses more players then new come?
you have some files from upjers where it shows the amount of player? or you're saying it only because you know 2-3 big players left?

Then shouldn't we get some official numbers for activity?

I have seen so many MoleHill and MyFreeFarm adds i want to burn them. can't they put up some Kapilands ones then.

No I don't... I can tell. I've played this game a decent few years now and I can tell as thigns get less active. There are more richer companies around, but less low level companies around. You can tell that when you put something on the market it used to whizzz off the first page VERY quickly. I'd refresh the page and 3 offers would already be above mine. Then a minute alter your offer would be off the page! Now it takes a minute to get those 2-3 offers above mine.

You can just tell.

And like Kingrewt said- I've seen lots of advertising for molehill empire around, but never any for kapilands... I'm sorry but Kapilands is far more interesting and advertising it would be money better spent :S People play farmville on facebook if they want to play farmer/gardener- and it just has a similar but much more boring principle!!!

I agree with that, Kapilands should be advertised a lot more.

I joined Kapilands through an ad banner, but that's the only time I've seen an ad banner for Kapilands.
I've seen various other upjers games a whole lot more on non-upjers websites.
upjers should advertise Kapilands more, it's a great game, it deserves more attention. :D

I only found Kapilands through a banner ad on one of the free forum hosting sites even then i only saved the link as it looked interesting and it was a couple of weeks before i actually joined, i think the site runs about 3million forums and runs mainly google ads but does sell the ad space to companies i'm guessing upjers paid for that advertising,

One suggestion though for getting more people to join is less threads on how boring the game is and how quiet it is, if i was looking for a new game and all the content on the top threads in the first player contributed section was about that i wouldn't be staying for long, i actually did read some of the forum first rather than register for the game to get a feel for it, so maybe some of this isn't actually helping anything.

Now im starting to think kapilands is gonna get lonely, they should advertise.

But i guess for one reason KAPILANDS doesnt advertise is because it wants to be a stand alone company which grows by itself and not by advertising.

They may have advertised before to start off, but now i think they want to grow themselves and not by advertising.

you're all just asuming you are right.

you don't know anything, you don't know the ratio of players join/leave kapi, and you don't know if it is being advertised or not (if you didn't see a adv for kapi, that doesn't mean they dont advertise.)

Not just one guy, everyone. I would say advertising is a waste of money unless people click on it. THey should use adwords.

Hi everyone,

of course we are still advertising the game, and there are indeed quite a number of new registrations per day. Registering doesn't mean that players actually start playing actively, though, so technically the number of registrations wouldn't tell you a lot about the activity of players.

I don't have any input on how much advertising is being done for Kapilands by itself, so I cannot give you any information here; advertisements for MHE or MFF however tend to also work for our other games. Kapilands is featured on all of them on the scroll down bar "more games", via button on the login page, and as banner ad inside the game. So it does profit from ads for other games as well. :-)

Best regards,

pearlbay

Pearlbay, putting up ads in your other game is not so called "advertising". YOu could just say you placed an add in your other games. And,you do it for free.

Advertising is when you advertise in other websites, and pay for it.

Dear Pearly,

Can you (or anyone...) make something, that, for example, pays a company when the player buys coins?

Example:

Kapilands banner on a big gaming forum (really: big)

Make a deal that if the players buy coins via their site, the forum gets X%

so..

with 10%, 10% of all the coins money you gain, goes to them. It costs a decent sum, but its no constant costs. No result? No money paid.

Doesnt sounds so hard, but is this possible? If so, why not make it and give me a reward for being so smart?

Cheerio

Well going back to pearlbay's earlier point on the fact taht number of registrations can not be used as an indicator to tell activity. So then how do you know when a Server is full?

NYK, did you see those adds on freeforums.org?

personally I have only ever seen 1 add for Kapilands. That was on a website I personally mad e and for hosting they made me put up an add.
