What's going on in Kapilands?
This section is for all about the game itself.

Oh Advantages... Hmmm, that's a good question.... In one word, expansion.

I have designed my company to provide me with all my required resources except ads. I had a great supplier of ads but I filled my stores now so I don't buy ads anymore.

I produce some expansion products as well as other factories products which I then sell in my retail stores for caps. This strategy is meant to supply me with expansion products and caps enabling me to expand my company without relying on market prices.

When I expand I don't want to expand all my buildings by 10qm. I want to expand them by at least 100qm at a time. The number of expansions you can do per day will increase slowly as I expand everything, however..

I normally start expanding my mines, wells and power plants first so I don't have to buy required products from the market when I expand the factories. This leads to an over supply of some resources.

So sometimes I need coal or oil, other times I need steel or plastic, and other times I just need caps. A Trade Syndicate is another great place to find contract buyers and sellers other than the sales market, faxes or game forum.

A Trade Syndicate is also a great place to find long term suppliers and customers for my redundant products which I have stopped producing because of a quality increase. Although I don't normally over produce enough to warrant the trouble and find I normally sell redundant products on the sales market.

There are a few other valid reasons to be in a TS (ie. an extra forum to read :) ), but the extra exposure enables you to sell and buy stuff you need to get/get rid of.

This thread has gone a little off topic, so to get it back on track.....
Surely eventually the number of coins will get fewer and fewer because bigger companies no longer need to buy them with cash and just buy them with caps. And less and less people are joining the game (since it can't keep growing forever!) who are usually the people who buy with cash. So the price of coins is bound to increase just down to the scarcity of them.

Once again I have to disagree:

In my opinion there will be more coins in the game the longer the game lasts. But what will increase even faster is the number of caps in the game. So there is no problem for big companies buying their coins with caps.
But again I see no problem here. Smaller companies get more caps when they sell coins and big companies grow a little bit slower, maybe.

Back to the trade syndicates for one last posting:
All the things you describe, smell, is "the game". All this you can do in the kapilands forum and is the idea of this game. You also joined KEA, did it have any advantage for you?
A syndicate that would make sense is a syndicate that tries to influence the prices. Like if all the ads producers say: No more ads below 50 caps per point.
But it will not work, I can tell you from my own experience.

OK, maybe you like to read in another forum... That my be a reason but not for me.

The rising price of coins is the reason I decided to just buy with real money rather than wait and spend a lot of kaps.

I am going to need administration buildings at some point :)
