I've actually just been asked if we are indeed planning of closing the game - now, even though I think jinny was just joking here, I just wanted to say (before any further rumours spread) that we are not intending to close down Kapilands.

It is true, we did close some other games, but so far there are no similar plans concerning Kapilands - and if so, we'd make sure to announce this here first, so you all have a chance of preparing. But, as I said, there are no plans of this at the moment, so please don't worry! :D

That's good to hear. I really want to go further with my ((in)famous) sausages but it takes time, and if Kapilands were to close down, let's say, within a year, I wouldn't be able to reach my "goal".

Should there be any plans of this, we'll keep you all posted, of course.

We don't know yet what the year will bring, of course, so all I can say at this point: There are no plans of closing the game at the moment. Should this change at any point in the future, we will make sure to alert you all in time, of course, so there is indeed really nothing to worry about. :)

For myself i never really did think that a day like this would come for kapilands. I think that i really never considered the costs of hosting a game like this.
However it is a wake up call regarding things like how many coins you are actually holding hehehe

...and at the end of the day if this game was so unpopular why is there 6 realms running for germany? :)

I hope Upjers will pay more attention on kapilands.com...why only kapilands.de that has 6 realms and has been developed really well and kapilands.com is still same for the time being..

i think if Upjers developed kapilands.com, it sill be sure attract lots of people to play this game..

well that's my opinion though..

Hi there,

I feel I've posted this several times already: there is no huge difference between the new realms on the German server except for their layout. In fact, lots of long-term players actually prefer the old layout to the new one (which is only available in server 5 & 6, too).

The new servers were only opened in Germany due to the high demand there - there is, however, still enough space on the English servers, thus there are no plans of opening new servers here, yet. The current demand, I am afraid, doesn't justify opening new com-servers (the servers are not full yet, as I said - and new servers are only opened if that is the case) - this doesn't mean, of course, that this won't change in future. At the moment, though, I am afraid this is not planned.

I'll keep you all posted on new developments, of course (via the announcements section). Until then, I hope you'll all keep enjoying the game as it is now!

Best regards,

It appears so that Upjers has his priority on the .DE servers and that's his good right.
When Upjers decides to invest time and money for advertisements for the .com version, the realms will expand massively. There are a lot of ways to get this game thriving again.

To my guess, upjers earns enough money and has a good balanced team. More advertisements means more expenses, more time, more employers, more servers and etc.
