I am not selling, I am sending them to the contestfelixbluindustries wrote:no siberian imagine it like this
you have 1000 power and 100 water and a spare 20 caps
you wcould either make 1 diamond Q2 and sell it for 250 caps
Or you could sell all the power and water for 286caps and keep the 20 caps....
therefore no matter whether you make stuff your own or not
the price is always "the same"
So your losing cash if you sell it for less than 305.44caps

Yes felixbluindustries, you are right about that.
This is the way I always calculate my products.

He explains it very clearly.
I don't agree that it is the big/rich companies that drop the price Luckyluke, it is just the players who are afraid they will have to wait too long for their products to get sold.
If everyone would stick to one price, in this case lets say 1000 caps for 1 diamond Q2, we would all make profit, although we would have to wait a little longer for it.
At these prices the way they are right now, I rather send my diamonds to the contest then sell them and make a loss.

i agree on that... but i have more different buildings... so i can participate in more different contests... this is no good for the newbee's.... because of all the supplies that is needed for golden watches... otherwise they could have made it a one-week or a three-week contest... 1 week for just give the big companies a boost... or 3 weeks for giving newbee's some time to build jewels factory and try to make some of it...

Or a 2-weeks-contest to find some kind of compromise.RdeBruin1984 wrote:otherwise they could have made it a one-week or a three-week contest... 1 week for just give the big companies a boost... or 3 weeks for giving newbee's some time to build jewels factory and try to make some of it...

It's really amusing - I like to read all your comments.

Thanks for your entertaining messages about chosing the wrong contest-product.
There's a nice saying: "The same procedure as every year"...

There is only one real objective that the contest subordinates to: To bring variety to the normal course of the game and to create more challenges.
If you gain profit from it or not is completely uninteresting.

Try to master the changing challenges!

PS: The contest-product gets nearly randomized, so don't be sad if the next one is again a wrong product (as it certainly will be

In real life, you are not demanding the world to change to cope with you, but you change to cope with the world, right?
I'll try to be flexible, find out the best strategy and cope with the new environment, unless the contest item is something which can be bought unlimited from NPC, a.k.a. raw mats.
