REALM 2 CONTEST IS RIDICULOUS!

I am a big company and I do try to help out the smaller companies every chance I get. However, I am not willing to pay ridiculous prices (some are advertising to buy apples at 450c and higher).

If you win the contest, like I did the last contest, the prize is 1 gold medal. Gold medal = 300 points!

The contest is still very new (only about 3 hours at the time of this post). Currently 1st place is around 60,000 apples. So, to take over first place (only temporarily) it would cost around: 27.000.000caps. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Do you guys realize this??

If you want a gold medal that badly, I will sell you mine!!

I'm sorry, don't mean to sound like a jerk.....just trying to point out the obvious!

Welcome to the world of contests. I remember a couple people spending around 1Billion to win a contest.

Just keep in mind prices will go down over time.

this is the world of trades - when there is a demand - prices go sky high

you won't stop that. Whenever there is someone willing to pay that much for apples - price will stay that high

Well it's obvious that ppl who are buying apples at current prices (it was 1k per unit for a while, now it's back to around 500 per unit) should consider how much will they lose on it - for them it would be better to make a dead line price for example 150 per unit and stick to it as offering more and more won't make them win - will make them out of money ^^

But for time being - let's profit off it :>

Well, I did win the last contest. lol.

And, I understand business. It just doesn't make any sense to me. I am the 3rd largest company in the realm and my daily profit is around 120.000.000 per day. The companies that are offering these crazy prises are smaller than I am.

Just doesn't make sense, lol. I was just trying to vent and see if others had the same thoughts as I do?

I think the unfair/crazy thing about the contest is that it is - AGAIN - the fruit plantation owners that make the deal... They could at least have picked a different production facility to make it fairer to other players.

But anyway. Have a good contest!

well, a gold medal is not only 300 points - it is a statussymbol and it shows the hole community - i was the winner of a contest.

for my last gold medal i spend ~3 biilion caps, i guess. but as one of the big players it is my principal task, to help the smaller ones. this is the sense of contests.

at the beginning it is real easy and cheap, to win a gold medal.

You also shouldn't forget that this is a very short contest.

Less Time=Less Apples Produced
Less Apples Produced=Less Supply
Less Supply+High Demand=High Prices

Every participant needs those apples from fruit plantations that only have 48 hours maximum to produce all it can.

In my opinion, some of the companies may change their production facilities just because of this 2 days. So they should make enough profit to recover their losses.
