I just joined this game a couple days ago and have spent that time reading everything I could, restarting 4-5 times trying new things, and honing my spreadsheet skills. This is a game I will be active and deicated with.
A new contest is about to start on R2. As a new player I want to take advantage of the increased profit potential. I would like to propose a loan advance/partnership with a high net work company interested in participating in the next contest.
My proposal. I am looking for a company to loan me as much cash as they are willing. I will use that cash specifically to produce materials needed for the contest. I will then pay back the loan with those materials at a price lower than the market price for those contest items. This price will be predetermined and stable. The loan will be paid off and 2 weeks of production of contest items are sent to your company.
For example. A company advances me an amount of money, 5 million. I spend this 5 million to build production and reserch to manufacture the contest item. Lets say the contest item is worth 50 on the market. I will sell them back at a lower price (say 40). In this case I will spend the next two weeks producing 125,000 of the contest items to repay the advanced of 5 million. Any amount of the loan that is not paid off in two weeks will be paid off as soon as possible at an interest rate.
The benefit for me is that I get to invest all the contest profit at the start and therefore produce more (and make more profit). I will also be in a better situation after the contest. The benefit for you is that you will have a guarenteed supply of contest items below what it would cost to purchase on the open market. You have the freedom knowing that there is a company working solely for your contest interests.

I just figurered a contest would start on Dec 14th because that is when the old one stops. I guess there is not always a contest going on?
No need to predict the product. I would build the supply chain to accomindate the product when it is announced.
Was unaware of any rule forbidding loans. One would think this is a loan, where another would think it is entering a contract for a future product. Similar to the real world where the buyer pays the supplier in advance. However if the game does not allow for this dynamic then that answers that.

Well, its not like its forbidden, its just not possible, the only way it would work would be trading products at prices which would be illegal.
The contest ends on Realm #1 not #2.
It might take some more time till the contests start on realm 2, you need a more advanced enconomy for a contest to be more interesting.
And yes, there arent contests every week, sometimes there are breaks of 1 week, or at least the weekend, so usualy contests start mondays.

I thought there was a toothpaste contest on R2? At least it says so in the news while logged on R2. Unless the newspaper is for R1?
About legality. If one was to send a contract for one resource for 500,000 kaps, that would be deemed illegal? It was a contract agreed upon by unrelated parties to fullfill an obligation (future or present).
If the contract was based on the expectation a returning contract would follow (again possibly at a similar sales rate) how is that illegal? I know about multi accounts, and people selling materials to connected accounts for lobsided costs, but this would be different as it is between two companies that feel they are getting abenefit from the deal.
Is it in the rules that one can not sell a product higher or lower than a certain amount?
Would this be considured illegal. Could I set something up where I sell 10 coins to another player for 650K, with the pre arranged aggreement I will buy back 9 coins in a future date for 700K. (amounts of course can be adjusted, even lower than what the system would buy the coins at). That would be legal correct? Why cant we substitute any non-coin resource instead, and accomplish the same goal?
