I'm know this has been mentioned, but I wanted to bring it up again because it's very effective.
All you have to do is see if the same IP address has logged into 2 different accounts. If so, and they don't have permission, ban the IP address.
Is there any downfalls to this method?

Ya, I figured a lot of cheaters would get around it, but if we did that, make them use different e-mail addresses, and delete all accounts when it's obvious their cheating, the problem would probably get solved pretty quickly, and I don't see why that would be really difficult, or time intensive?Azer Productions wrote:No, only that it is VERY easy to change your IP address. The security code does not hinder botusers (it can easily be dealt with), but an uncomfortable barrier for a lot of fair players, who would need much more time for their login and had to type a lot of stuff twice, as it sometimes does not work at the first time.
We are able to select botcheaters by other means, therefore we resign
from the users being toiled with this additional code.
Both Nase (the Boss himself) as me regularly control cheaters; so we are three searching for them and this game is taking much more care of fairness for all than it is generally usual in other browsergames
(I locked more than 20 accounts only yesterday).
We carefully examine and always act with caution in order to avoid locking a reported account wrongly.
This should be taken in consideration if a reported company is not being locked. Unfortunately the reports by the users of somebody being a cheater cannot be confirmed very often. Some report a company, which only made a typing mistake but buys his own goods back itself (or something similar to this).
I think everybody is glad that we check the accounts very carefully and not lock them randomly.
It is a fact, that otherwise some of the users complaining in this thread would otherwise also be banned from the game (cashmoney also has been reported to me several times). Unfortunately some users try to use the opportunity to denunciate a company which is on a higher rank or somebody it has differences with. This causes loads of work. Hence it is not possible to give a correspondent feedback with every report why or if an account has been locked.
I greatly regret that some people simply start denunciating all over the place without really knowing the real procedures and how much energy is being put into this issue. We would like to give an insight into the heaterhunts, but in the interest of all users it is of major importance not to show the detailled measures of control in order to avoid that cheaters get more knowledge on this.
I would like to ask you instead of hindering us from the hunt of cheaters with discussions and wrong accusations, to establish their own company as good as possible instead of observing anybody else with distrust and assume everybody who is better to be a cheater.
Never fear, we will care for them, if they really are cheating.
