Cheap rings for everyone
In order to:
- celebrate the recent release of Scala 2.9.0 programming language
- celebrate the upcoming release of Linux 3.0
- just to make things diverse and fun with this game
I hereby offer anyone an inexpensive ring Q0. If you have an account at english realm 1 you are heartly welcome, just IGM me asking for one. In order to ensure fairness, few minor restrictions and simple rules apply although:
- as I can not know when a particular account was created, in order to cut off those created just to abuse my offer or the current contest, your company should satisfy both of these requirements:
-- should possess Q4 research or better. I don't really care if that's research of apples, oil, or printers - any will do. If you don't yet have research of this level you have plenty of days to research one.
-- fixed assets should be at least 100k.
- to determine the cost of the ring, divide your fixed assets by 1 million, and separately divide your cash by 10 millions. The largest number of the two is your cost (the final math will be done when I send the ring, not when it is requested). For example a company formed just few days ago will most likely receive a ring for less than 1

I am very sorry but I have to mention our game rules in this case.
According to the game rules, presents, credits or trades with an extreme advantage on one side are not allowed. If one of these things is detected the account in question will be deleted.
You always have to stick to usual market-prices; selling or buying products for far less or far more is seen as an unallowed-advantageous trade and can lead to a ban.
It's great to see that players want to start own "activities", but when it seems to breach the rules I have to interfere.

Which side gets the 'extreme advantage'? Me? Ok, kill my account - albeit looks like I put myself in disadvantage with this offer. Or you mean, everyone else? Ok, kill everyone else's accounts.
My offer is public; I do not single out any particular company or a group. And my rings productions facilities allow me to provide everyone with rings, this is not a 'limited quantity offer' or other real life scam. So, no one is going to receive any advantage comparing with each other. What's problems with that?

The "advantage" refers to the market prices - and selling (too much) below this is an unfair advantage.
I am sorry but there is nothing to be discussed about this point.
Selling products for such low prices like you claimed in here is not allowed - and can lead to a ban of the accounts involved.
You may start a "special action" but only within the rules.
If you want to make presents (and selling thing for way too low can be seen as a present) to various people you have to stick to the allowed possibility, meaning present status symbols (like sweets packages, liquours etc.) - but not diamond rings or any other regular product.

as far as I remember from other discussions in the past contest goods are always at extravagant prize levels so they are temporarily excluded from the stupid market related rule....
If there is nothing to be discussed as GE says then you have to ban all the accounts that bought contest products over the last two years...
the man is giving away one ring to each company.... c'mon... its pure advertising... a accepted business strategy... and I quote "- every company is entitled to receive 1 (one) ring upon duration of this contest. As a special exception, each request made in Esperanto will enjoy 2 rings instead (for the double price, of course). Additional rings might be ordered, if desired, at the usual commercial pricing; "..... I don't see the advantage...
Killing the fun are we?????

Exaggerating, are we?
Please be so kind and don't pursue the line of argument. Stay objective and professional, please.
Contests are of course a special situation - but they also have got some kind of "market price". And differing too far from that (as it is described in here) can lead to a ban as it is not allowed.
All of you know that and all of you know that we can't make an exception on this.
So either you choose to follow a legitimate way (like Celtne presented) or you desist from your idea.

now you telling me to be professional... I was pursuing the argument...nothing else..and I was objective also... you were not.. you staring blindly into a law with not even solid parameters...
My friend .. you have the authority to be lenient and less rigid and still keep the game fun for us. sending a company one ring carries zero advantage for the receiver.. nor the seller.
we don't need lawyers running a game... we need professional thinking game minded people... you are more than capable of applying the law and because it is a contest product be lenient...
Maybe its better for me to withdraw from this argument because I have a history of disagreeing with your style of doing things...
Its very clear to see the way this game is handled and promoted is killing the fun for us... but you guys are not listening... (now I am off subject)..forgive me...

The game rules are here for a reason - to ensure everyone has a chance of succeeding at this game.
If we allowed everyone to run their own private contest, and give away products - no matter how insignificant they may seem to you, we would open the back-door to those who try to use "contests" in order to circumvent the game-rules - not that I want to accuse anyone here of planning to do so; but I am afraid, we have to take all possibilities into account.
And there are always those who do try to circumvent the game-rules - to the detriment of others, and resulting in us needing to be strict when it comes to enforcing them, I am afraid.
I'd like to close this thread now, I think both GoldenEye and myself have said all that is necessary here. Thanks a lot for your understanding!
Best regards,
