I have Friend who started out trying to make shoes and well he told me that it wasn't that shoes were not profitable, but making leather gloves or leather jackets was a no brainer because the difference in profit vrs materials used to make the three products. If I was making leather and textiles I would make Leather Jackets over shoes because you could sell the textiles and leather on the market for more then what you can sell shoes in the store for.

I think some special building products which market value is above their retail value.

For instance Fruits.

If you put Q0 up for sale at 40 ea they get sold easily, while higher Q is hardly worth 30 ea.
I don't think the more expensive offers in the market place get sold unless there is a contest.

Also during a contest very often Q0 product which is needed to produce the CP is more expensive either cuz it is available a lot more so people don't need to start small amounts of productions.
Also high Q can result in wrong Q CP so they aren't sold either.
This however is more temporarily then the fruits thing with Q0.

Also, Jeans Q0 are worth 4.000 ea while it is almost impossible to sell high Q at the market above lets say 2.000 ea.
Ofcourse if you can offer a large amount of high Q it gets equally valuable as the Q0.

These ofcourse are R1, i'm not sure about the R2 values, but i guess that is similar or will become similar.

So i'd say it is more an amount thing then a Q thing with those certain products.

Also you have Milk Q4 which is more expensive compared to other Q's due to it being necessary for some Quest.
Same with some other products.
People need them for quests and they need them within 24 hours so they can't just go wait for someone to send it or produce it for them.
Then people who know this put them up for sale at huge price cuz they know people are forced to buy them anyway to finish the quest.

There are some companies who focus at that business.
Just go check Q1 Textiles which is offered a lot at 500+ at R2 while Q20 is worth something around 400 each.

Question to anyone who can answer:

Is there any known product that definitively becomes less profitable as quality increases?
well...
if you want to produce high Q wardrobes, you'll need higher Q wood and steel
higher Q wood and steel cost alot :)
higher Q wood and steel you'll buy, youll pay more and produce higher Q wardrobes (but after some point, the wardrobes price wont be worth the high Q wood and steel
